This viral video for the Nintendo DSi XL asks people what thing would they like bigger.

In an effort to generate more interest on the Nintendo DSi XL, Nintendo has released a new viral video. It consists of people answering the following question: What would YOU like 93% bigger?

The question is an allusion to the DSi XL's bigger screens.

The Nintendo DSi XL is available now.

Talkback

ThePermMarch 29, 2010

the list of hot girls I banged

the second guy "definitely not this bump on my head"

When I saw the name of this thread I was confused; I thought "I was supposed to be in TalkBack, not the funhouse."

This can only end badly.

StogiMarch 30, 2010

93% < 100%

Bigger

DOES NOT COMPUTE

It's 93% bigger as in 93% more; 193% of the current size.

ThePermMarch 30, 2010

93 percent is double the size, but not quite.

StogiMarch 30, 2010

No 200% is double the size

I guess "bigger" adds the original size

3rd party support on Wii...

ZING!!!

Before...the inevitable happens...please don't.

Spak-SpangMarch 30, 2010

My patience?

My loathe of Joss Whedon
More Jurassic Park movies

No one said their hair-I guess the 80's are over, huh?

I'm sure guys who are balding would say their hair.  93% would be too much for me.  Just like 2% more would be fine.

Seriously though does Nintendo not know the really obvious crude answer that someone would answer to this?

My answer: my bank account.  Nearly double my savings?  YEAH!!

I would choose this excellent cinnamon roll I am enjoying.

Assuming that girl that wanted her GPA to be 93% bigger attends a school where the max is a 4.0, her GPA is at the highest a 2.07, no DSi for you!

Also the lady that wanted her heart to be 93% bigger, you do realize that if you were to cut your finger a freaking geyser could spring up?

@ the guy that wanted "Love" to be 93% bigger, that is some deep stuff.

RizeDavid Trammell, Staff AlumnusMarch 30, 2010

My paycheck

The Wii's internal storage.

The Wii's internal storage.

I avoided that because 93% wouldn't even be enough.

Perhaps increasing Nintendo's ability to understand that people don't think in "Blocks" but in Bytes would be nice.

Nintendo is doing this sort of thing too often, I am really starting to get the impression they are doing this intentionally, knowing full well what is going to go through peoples' heads when they read this.

Do you think Nintendo are putting out stuff with the purpose of embarrassing all their fans with tiny penises? Funny thing is that Nintendo is able to get away with their urinary puns, whereas when Sony tried their toilet-based PSP advert campaign it was slated as juvenile.

BlackNMild2k1March 30, 2010

Haven't you guys seen that episode of Southpark called Chinopokomon?
Where the Japanese lower the American's guard and suspicions by complementing their penis size constantly?

That is exactly what Nintendo is doing here. Playing on Penis envy, bigger is better.

KDR_11kMarch 30, 2010

The playerbase for the multiplayer FPS I play a lot (Section 8)...

NinGurl69 *hugglesMarch 30, 2010

I've got Shoe, and Lambtron.

PaleMike Gamin, Contributing EditorMarch 30, 2010

I find it interesting that no one here is saying "the already painfully huge pixels of the DS Lite."

ShyGuyMarch 30, 2010

I'm really curious what the size and resolution of Pale's computer screen is with all his pixel talk.

PaleMike Gamin, Contributing EditorMarch 30, 2010

We did this before didn't we? :)

My home machine is 1920x1200.

My work laptop is 1440x900 hooked up to a 1680x1050 in dual monitor. I wish both were bigger.

My PHONE is 480x554.  We could almost fit both ds screens in that for crying out loud.

PaleMike Gamin, Contributing EditorMarch 30, 2010

I take that back.. it's 480x854! You can fit almost THREE of the DS screens there.

vuduMarch 30, 2010

How many DSi XL screens can you fit in there?  I hear they're 93% bigger than DS screens.

NinGurl69 *hugglesMarch 30, 2010

Pixels should be huge and round, not square.

Our eyes aren't square.

More James Jones. That's what i want to see (in written/audio expletive-laden form please).

Well yeah. Its like the "Size Does Matter" campaign for Godzilla... of course they realized what people would think, and they did that because it gets people talking about it which is the whole intent of marketing.

Not everyone's eyes are round, either. Dilemma.

NinGurl69 *hugglesMarch 31, 2010

Round-ish

ish.

on ballpark-average.

This is nothing new for Nintendo. Doesn't anyone remember the ads for the original DS, where the slogan was "touching is good"?

Painful? I played games in 320x240 on TVs and computer screens and it didn't hurt one bit.

PaleMike Gamin, Contributing EditorMarch 31, 2010

It's painful emotionally KDR... EMOTIONALLY!

Just like only putting 512 megs of memory in the Wii.  Why do you do it Nintendo? The better tech is out there and plenty cheap enough!
