The decision was made by Capcom in order to avoid the 2010 rush.

Capcom has updated their 2010 release list and has announced the delay of several of their most anticipated titles, including the North American release of Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii. They have moved these titles the next quarter, seeing releasing sometime after April 1, 2010.

The reason given for the delay is Capcom's desire to avoid competing with other first-quarter releases, preserving the value of their upcoming titles.

Titles that have been delayed include Super Street Fighter IV, Lost Planet 2, Dead Rising 2, and the international release of Monster Hunter Tri.

GARRRR!!!!!

... well, that means I have a little more budgeting room this March!

There is still alot of games to be bought in the Jan-Mar 2010 window, so this is actually good news.

I'm not surprised of the massive delays since March is a crazy month. Considering that FF 13 comes out in March it's a good move.

At least there's still Tatsunoko vs Capcom in January! And The Sky Crawlers too.

And that's why I think Sony should delay God of War III. I think it comes out the week after Final Fantasy XIII. I know they are not the same audience (Japanese RPG vs. mindless hack-and-slash), but I think most people who buy FF will probably not have time to play GOW. I like it when companies are honest about why they delay their games, they known that Q1 is gonna be pretty hectic and they want to get the most sales possible. This is especially true for Monster Hunter Tri since the console Monster Hunter games have never sold that well outside of Japan anyways, but I am a little surprised at Super Street Fighter IV.

No way Sony delays God of War III.  They need that money ASAP.

Either delay or push it up and release it earlier, not the best idea to release it the week before.
