The upcoming Final Fantasy game has a new feature you might be interested in.

Inside Games is reporting on a new feature in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers. Players will apparently be able to save screenshots to their Wii's SD Card.

The screenshot functionality allows for shots to be taken at any point in the game, whether it's during gameplay or during a cutscene. The shots also get stamped with Square Enix copyright information in their bottom-right corners.

Square Enix has set up a website to which gamers can submit their most epic screenshots, in the hopes of winning prizes. The submission window is December 20 to 24.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers ships December 26 in North America.

I like this feature on Animal Crossing:City Folk.
Glad someone else is doing this.

Taking screenshots is goood, Iv been spoilt due to the PSP's ability to do it with all games (using homebrew app). Annoying that all games dont allow it.

Now how about custom soundtrack support in Excitebots, eh?

So will we get a similar contest here?

If there is no multiplayer I don't really see much of a point for it outside of the contest. I only use these features when I play with other people.

Pokémon Rumble does this too. :)

Very cool feature.

I wish more Wii developers would utilize in-game screenshot functionality (with ability to save image to SD card as a .jpg file).

It would also be nice to be able to post the screenshots to a community website directly from an "in-game" interface.

At the very least it's better than taking a photo of the screen. Now, if you could actually record gameplay...

Rabbids Go Home also does this, though it only sends the snapshot to the Wii's message board.

was this not a known feature of the game?

I think about 10-15 pics I posted in the FFCC thread were from the ingame camera. I might not have mentioned that, but I thought it was already known.

This is just a little headgold for you, BnM.
