Composer Hints at Bully Sequel

The 2006 million-seller has a sequel in sight.

In an interview with The Gaming Liberty, composer Shawn Lee revealed that he would be composing a soundtrack for a Bully sequel. Lee, who also worked on the soundtrack for the original Bully, said in an interview, "It looks like I will be doing the soundtrack for Bully 2 in the not so distant future".

Rockstar has not yet announced any future titles based on Bully, which was released in 2006 for Playstation 2, and according to Take Two, sold 1.5 million copies on the system. Bully was eventually re-released for Xbox 360, PC, and Wii in 2008. As the original game focused on the life of Jimmy Hopkins, a student in Bullworth Academy, it is likely that a sequel would focus on either Hopkins' life at another school, or another student at Bullworth.

No details on the new title were revealed in the interview, and it is unknown if the game will be coming to a Nintendo platform.

I was gonna post this in the rumor thread last night, but the rumor had it coming to PS360 & PC.
Do you know how the Wii version sold?

I looked for some data via the ol' reliable Wikipedia, but the article there only had PS2 sales data which was sourced from a Take Two press release.

VGChartz, if you choose to believe them, has it listed at 0.42 million.

I expect a late port to the Wii or a port to Wii 2.

I'm wondering where the next Bully game can go. Junior year? Cars? Cars could ruin it?

I think College years was part of the rumor.

They could always just do Bullworth Academy again with a new character, though College life is the most logical alternative.

Wouldn't college life be closer to a Leisure Suit Larry game with more pranks added to it?

I always meant to pick up that game on Wii. It was reviewed well and Rockstar sells it directly from their site for $20 on Wii.

I don't think I could play this game because I could never be a bully. I'm just not mean, plus bullies tend to be ugly.

A female bully.

You can play the game just being a vandal instead of a bully, since most of the missions seem to lend themselves more towards breaking things or bringing items from one place to another rather than bullying people.  In fact, the main character is anything but one when the game starts, and only acts like one where necessary to accomplish a particular goal.  Even when you do have to do bad things to people, if I remember correctly those people generally deserve it.  Doesn't save Jimmy from being ugly, though.  :P

I played all the way through the Wii version of Bully and really liked it a lot.  And this is coming from someone who has never been able to force himself to play any of the GTAs more than 2 hours.  The game is charming, witty, kind of dark, and pretty funny.  Some of the best voice acting on the system.  If you can get this game for a good price, I'd certainly recommend it.
