Oh my God!  Carnival King! This sounds like an arcade game that my wife and I have probably blown $100+ in - every time we see it, we easily sink $10 into it.  Haven't seen it in awhile.

Basically, it's a target shooting/light gun game.  Tons of fun, if you want something, say, like Duck Hunt, only more with a faster pace.

Going to get this as soon as I get home.

So it was an arcade game first? I didn't know that...

Someone actually reads these forums!!!

Seven games, not eight (one of the releases is an App, not a game).

Wow, 2 weeks in a row that Virtual Console got more than 1 release. I am both shocked and VERY pleased (even if Fighting Street is a crappy version of Street Fighter that was so bad Capcom chose to not use the "Street Fighter" name).

UncleBobRichard Cook, Guest ContributorNovember 03, 2009

Whooo!  I got mentioned by Dan O'Leary on his Twitter!
http://twitter.com/n_Space/status/5389694775

Eight titles and not one I care to purchase.
Although this shooting gallery game looks like it could be fun.

And I can save money for EXCITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UncleBobRichard Cook, Guest ContributorNovember 03, 2009

Neal - I'll gift you a copy of Carnival King if you'll do a review of it.

KDR_11kNovember 03, 2009

Viking Invasion is a nice tower defense in case you don't have one for the DS yet.

Your money's no good here (well, it is, but I'd rather not), but if you speak so highly of it, I might have to pick it up.

Granted, I've got a bunch of reviews on my plate right now so I won't be able to promise anything as far as a review, but I might bite on this and pick it up.

It can't be worse than Toy Story Mania, right?

UncleBobRichard Cook, Guest ContributorNovember 03, 2009

Well, I offered. ;)

Would any official NWR Staff be willing to do a full review if I gifted them a copy?  It's a good game and deserve some exposure. :)

In interest of full disclosure - after whoring out this game a bit, I've been in contact with the President of n-Space who has offered me a free n-Space game.  I told him it wasn't necessary and the free stuff in no way effects my opinion on Carnival King.  It's good. :)

vuduNovember 03, 2009

I'll do a review!

TJ SpykeNovember 04, 2009

I always wondered about WiiWare/DSiWare reviews. Do you guys have to buy them with your own money or do the publishers ever offer to gift them to you?

On some occasions we receive the game from the publishers. ColorZ and Gravitronix are recent examples. But most of the time, we have to buy the game in order to review it. Sometimes, however, we are offered the opportunity to review a game. But the publisher either forgets or doesn't have the money to gift it to us.

UncleBob: I'm willing to do a review. It looks simple enough that not a lot of game time is required in order to write about it. Besides, I love shooting gallery games, so why not?

BlackNMild2k1November 04, 2009

I might pick up Carnival King, it reminds me of that Namco arcade gallery shooting game Point Blank.
That's the game I've been waiting for and this looks like the next closest thing.

UncleBobRichard Cook, Guest ContributorNovember 04, 2009

Pap - you're on!
My Wii Code - 3354 2987 3900 7316
You're my only friend... my poor Wii. :(

NWR_pap64Pedro Hernandez, Contributing WriterNovember 04, 2009

Code has been added.

UncleBobRichard Cook, Guest ContributorNovember 04, 2009

Pap's got his copy of the game - so his review should be on the way soon!

Also, I've thrown together a little Carnival King contest - you can win a free copy of the game!
http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=29798.0

Contest ends about 24 hours after Pap gets his review up, so hurry - you could only have 25 hours left!
