The sequel to one of the first WiiWare titles arrives next Monday.

Nintendo and Frontier games have announced that LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias will hit the North American WiiWare service on October 19, 2009 for 1000 Wii Points.

Winter of the Melodias is a sequel to Lost Winds, one of the first WiiWare games to hit the service in May of 2008. It will once again star Toku. This time around, he will be investigating the disappearance of his mother, as well as resolving the mystery of the Melodia people.

The title's biggest addition to the series is the ability to change seasons in real time. The usage of wind also returns in the sequel. Toku will use the wind to jump, glide, and attack enemies. A new cyclone power attack has also been added, allowing Toku to blow away enemies and transport himself to other parts of the land.

I just hope it's at least a little longer than the first one.

I never finished the first. Yes that's right I couldn't commit 4hrs of my life. I was thinking of playing through it on Sunday though then picking up the second right away and finishing that too.

I've yet to play the first game. I am thinking of just buying 60 dollars' worth of Nintendo Point cards and catch up on all the games I missed.
