Dragon Quest IX Pre-orders Expected to Surpass 2 Million in Japan

Nikkei reveals that there is tremendous demand for the next Dragon Quest game.

A recent story in the Japanese business newspaper Nikkei Industrial reports that the amount of pre-orders for the hotly-anticipated Dragon Quest IX has appeared to surpass two million copies. According to retailers, this figure is higher than previous Dragon Quest games. Some are even expecting Dragon Quest IX to sell more than five million copies.

Dragon Quest IX will be released this Saturday in Japan alongside the new red DSi.
