Following past Pokémon and Zelda charity marathons, TheSpeedGamers tenth marathon (and seventh for charity) will focus on the Mother/Earthbound franchise and raise money for the Susan G Komen foundation (Breast Cancer).

On May 15 at 6 p.m. CST and ending 72 hours later, TheSpeedGamers will begin to play through Mother 1, Mother 2 (Earthbound), and Mother 3 live on webcam, which will be watchable at their website.

In addition, there will be a commentary going along with gameplay, Mother/Earthbound prizes being given away, and a chat below the video feed where viewers can interact with TheSpeedGamers and each other. Also, they will be collecting Susan G Komen and Mother-themed fan art, and create a booklet that will be available as a PDF download on their website and made into a limited number of physical copies given away as prizes.

In total, TheSpeedGamers have raised over $22,000 for multiple causes since they were formed in January 2008.
