Rock Band 2 joins the DLC ranks while Personal Trainer: Math and Mastiff's Moon lead another quiet week of releases.
This week's releases contain one Wii game and three DS games amongst a lot of downloadable content for rhythm games. Wii's lone release this week is THQ's Neighborhood Games which features neighborhood games with Wii controls. The DS gains three games with the releases of Nintendo's non-game Personal Trainer: Math, EA's Lord of the Rings: Conquest, and Mastiff's sci-fi first-person shooter Moon.
Downloadable content saw a record 53 songs for Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band 2 as Rock Band 2 finally joined the DLC fray. Guitar Hero: World Tour received the Travis Barker Track Pack. Meanwhile, a smattering of 30 songs from the huge Rock Band DLC backlog were released alongside the 20 free downloadable songs.
Wii Games
Neighborhood GamesPublisher: THQ Cost: $29.99 ESRB Rating: Everyone THQ's Neighborhood Games features 24 different activities that offer unique twists on pastimes such as Football, Golf, Tennis, Ladder Golf, Lawn Darts, Horseshoes, and Bocce. The games use the Wii Remote to do things such as toss horseshoes or throw footballs. Featuring customizable characters, Neighborhood Games' multiplayer allows players to taunt each other as they compete in the various games. |

DS Games
Lord of the Rings: ConquestPublisher: EA Cost: $29.99 ESRB Rating: Teen Developed by A2M, Lord of the Rings: Conquest is basically capture the flag featuring J.R.R. Tolkien's characters. Set during the popular trilogy, the game allows you to pick your allegiance (good or evil) and then attempt to defeat the other side while capturing control points as well as other minor objectives. It features four-player local multiplayer as well as video and a score taken from the movies. |

MoonPublisher: Mastiff $29.99 Teen Renegade Kid's follow-up to Dementium: The Ward is a science-fiction first-person shooter for the DS. Making use of their Renegade Engine 2.0, Moon puts you behind the eyes of Major Kane as he investigates erratic energy readings on the Moon. With rumors of aliens, this is the jumping off point for what promises to be an epic story. |

Personal Trainer: MathPublisher: Nintendo Cost: $19.99 ESRB Rating: Everyone Personal Trainer: Math is the second entry in Nintendo's Personal Trainer series and the latest in their Touch Generations line. It features Professor Hideo Kageyama's 100-Cell method, which features "fast-paced, high-speed arithmetic problems (that) keep your math basics fresh, from addition to subtraction and multiplication to division." Guitar Hero: World Tour adds three more tracks this week, this time featuring songs with Travis Barker. All three tracks are 200 Wii Points ($2) each.
