With only a day on the market, Frontier has already revealed that a sequel is in the works for the WiiWare launch title.

After just a day on the market, Frontier revealed through their LostWinds website that a sequel is already in the works. The sequel promises "amazing new gameplay" as players reunite with Toku and the wind spirit Enril to save the magical world of Mistralis.

Currently there is no other information about the game, but visitors can register their e-mail address on the LostWinds website so that Frontier can e-mail them when details do become available.

Thanks to Bill Aurion in the forums for the tip!

This was obviously planned from the beginning.  The game stops mid-story with a "To be continued."

Even if that did bother me, I liked it well enough to buy the sequel.

I haven't finished the first just yet, but I too am looking forward to the sequel. I agree this was clearly planned, but just not stated.

The joys of episodic content. *rolls eyes*

Wile I was happy with the game, it did feel less like an episode and more like a chapter. They could have made the end cutscene a bit more climactic and I would have been fooled, though.

As long as the next one has all new environments, I'll be happy to buy it.
