Shy Guy, Metal Mario, and Lakitu are three new racers coming to Mario Kart 8, as revealed to us in a recent demo. That makes Mario Kart 8's roster up to 27 characters.

New 2DS Available for Pre-Order in UK 3DS

Play pink for Kirby.

To celebrate the launch of Kirby: Triple Deluxe, a new pink and white 2DS will release the same day on May 16 in the UK.

It's available for pre-order in the Nintendo UK store for £109.99. A stylish silver carrying case is also available for pre-order for £7.99.

While this is in celebration of the latest Kirby installment, the game will not be bundled with the system.

Gamers in Japan can get some discounts on some of the hottest games available on Nintendo’s digital service.

Two different sales are available on both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShop in Japan. Game Boy Advance titles on Wii U, which are set to release on April 3, will be featured in a campaign. Tales of the World: Reve Unitia Announced 3DS

The upcoming strategy RPG with Tales characters is coming to the 3DS.

Tales of the World: Reve Unitia is in development for the Nintendo 3DS.

Revealed in the latest issue of Jump magazine in Japan, it will be a strategy RPG featuring Bandai Namco's Tales characters, including Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia. It seems to be based on a mobile only title, Tales of the World. The main story of the game will feature full voice acting.

Australian Ratings Board Outs Two GBA Virtual Console Titles GBA

On March 27, the Australian Classification Board classified ratings for two Game Boy Advance games.

F-Zero: GP Legend received a "G" for the general audience rating, while Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow was given an "M" for mature. The listings also classify the games to be multi platform, though no light has been shed as to if these will make it to the Wii U eShop.

Masahiro Sakurai, director of Super Smash Bros., posted a picture of Luigi's Final Smash on Miiverse. It displays Luigi powering up with the Poltergust 5000--the vacuum/ghost catcher used explicitly in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.

Sakurai stated in the post, "Luigi might be thinking, 'Who would've thought I'd get to show off the Poltergust in Super Smash Bros.?!' Wondering if it's going to suck something in? Yeah, it probably will."

Princess Zelda from Twilight Princess looks beautiful.

First 4 Figures has just revealed, and put up for pre-order, their Princess Zelda figure. The figure is part of the 1/4 scale Master Arts line of Twilight Princess figures, stands at 17 inches tall, is limited to 2,500 pieces worldwide and has a price tag of $349.99.

Princess Zelda is the fifth figure in the First 4 Figures Twilight Princess line. Other figures in this line include Zant, Wolf Link and Midna, Link on Epona, and Ganondorf.

Two Brothers Still Slated for Wii U Release WiiU

Two Brothers is still slated for a Wii U release.

The game, a retro style RPG funded by a Kickstarter campaign, was due for release in January of last year. However, numerous delays have plagued the game and despite a release on the PC, it has not been released on the Wii U.

Limited Edition Mickey Mouse 3DS XL Coming to North America 3DS

Just in time for Disney Magical World.

A limited edition Mickey themed Nintendo 3DS XL unit will be arriving in North America on April 11th and will be available exclusively at Wal-Mart and the Nintendo World Store.

The system is covered in several Mickey heads and has the logo for the upcoming 3DS game Disney Magical World, which also releases on April 11th.

Wii U System Update 4.1.0 Downloadable Now WiiU

The newest Wii U system update, 4.1.0, is now available to download.

Unlike the last update, this one doesn't boast any new features. Instead, Nintendo's notes on the update say, "Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience."

Hudson Shoot-'Em-Up Removed from Wii Virtual Console Wii

The classic import is no longer in the North America eShop.

Hudson Soft's Star Parodier has vanished from the Wii Virtual Console in North America.

It seems to have been removed under the radar. Nintendo has not commented on why this title was removed.

The then-Japanese-exclusive was released in April 1992 on the PC Engine. In 2008, it finally made its way to the VC in Japan, Europe and North America.

A poll is being held for users to vote for which Mega Man game they want to be released first on the North American 3DS Virtual Console during Mega May.

Google Maps Allowing Users to Catch Pokémon

For a limited time you can become a real Pokémon Master.

It was announced by Google that iOS and Android users who use Google Maps will be able to scour the world in search of Pokémon. The application updated earlier today and was accompanied by an April Fool's video on the Google Maps website, however, users will actually be able to catch the elusive Pocket Monsters in a small way.

Child of Light and Watch Dogs Coming to PAX East WiiU

Even if Nintendo isn't.

Child of Light and Watch Dogs will be featured demos at PAX East, running in Boston, Massachusetts from April 11 to April 13 this year.

Between the two demos, the turn-based RPG Child of Light will be the only one playable at the show, though specific playable platforms have not been announced. Watch Dogs, meanwhile, will have a brand new hands-off demo as well as the opportunity to receive a T-shirt upon pre-ordering on-site.

GBA Virtual Console Games on Wii U Feature Original Manuals, No Multiplayer

You can check out scanned manuals for next month's slate of GBA Virtual Console games.

Nintendo is including scanned versions of the original instruction manuals from the GBA games on the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan. It's not clear if this is also the case in North America and Europe.

A cool item for North American Club Nintendo members.

A T-shirt based on Yoshi's New Island is now available as a North American Club Nintendo Reward for 800 coins.

The green shirt shows Yoshi, with Baby Mario on his back, throwing a Mega Egg Dozer. The official Club Nintendo logo is also displayed proudly on the back. Those interested better hurry since the shirt is only available in limited quantities.
