The game comes to the European 3DS Virtual Console 28 years after its Famicom Disk System debut.
The Mysterious Murasame Castle has been scheduled for a May 29 release on 3DS Virtual Console in Europe. A Nintendo-developed title published in 1986 for the Famicom Disk System, it has previously never been made available outside of Japan.

A jaunty new color lands alongside the release of Tomodachi Life.
A new color option will soon be available for Nintendo's 2DS line of systems.
The Sea Green 2DS is scheduled for release on June 6 for a suggested retail price of $129.99. It features a white front and back with Sea Green coloring on the directional pad, face buttons, stylus, and edges.

A French interview lends credence to suspicions regarding Nintendo’s NFC plans.
In an interview with French publication Le Figaro, Nintendo France Managing Director Stephan Bole said that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will use NFC in some capacity.
The interview was fairly wide-ranging, and talk eventually turned to Nintendo’s E3 plans. “E3 is also an opportunity to show the use of NFC technology in Nintendo consoles,” stated Bole. “The NFC will be used in the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros.”

The delayed version of Watch Dogs is the only upcoming Ubisoft game on a Nintendo platform we know about.
Ubisoft's E3 2014 lineup won't feature any Nintendo games, according to the publisher.
"We won't be showing off any Nintendo games at E3 this year," a Ubisoft representative said. Currently, the company is slated to show off Assassin's Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, and more announced and unannouced games at E3 2014.

Nintendo and accessory maker PDP are teaming up to bring people their preferred controller for Smash Bros.
Accessory maker Performance Designed Products has announced that they are partnering with Nintendo to create a new classic controller for the Wii U, inspired by the GameCube controller design.
This controller is designed to plug into a Wii Remote and can be used with both Wii and Wii U consoles. The pad will also feature Nintendo characters such as Mario, Yoshi and Princess Peach.

Up to 3,000 fans will be able to watch the tournament live and in person.
Nintendo has doled out new information regarding the Super Smash Bros. Invitational, including plans to welcome up to 3,000 fans from the general public to attend and watch the event in person.
The tournament, first revealed in April as one of the centerpieces of Nintendo’s E3 plans, will take place Tuesday, June 10, at the Nokia Theatre and feature a field of sixteen as-yet-unannounced high-caliber competitors selected by Nintendo.

Just in time for the sequel!
A special Yokai Watch themed Nintendo 3DS XL is scheduled to hit Japanese store shelves on July 10 for ¥18,000 (about $177).
The unit is white and features a full color version of the yokai Jibanyan as well as gray silhouettes of other creatures on the device. The new system will also come with a special “Gold Nyan” card, but will not include a copy of Yokai Watch.

Gamers in Japan can complete the sports collection in early summer on Wii U.
Wii Sports Club Baseball and Boxing are both coming to the Wii U eShop in Japan on June 26.
While gamers can opt to try out each game for 24 hours for 200 yen, Nintendo is offering a special pass for both titles that will be available for 1,000 yen, the price for each of the previous titles in the Wii Sports Club series.

The videogame-streaming site will be the latest to enter the Google fold.
YouTube, owned by Google, is set to acquire videogame-streaming site Twitch.
Variety reports that the $1 billion dollar acquisition is expected to be announced soon, sources within the merger are saying. U.S. regulators within the Justice Department are expected to challenge the deal as YouTube's status as the top platform for videos online brings to question anti-competitive issues online.

One for Smash Bros., and the other a mystery 3DS game.
Nintendo has invited press to two 90-minute evening presentations at E3 this year. The first is set to feature Super Smash Bros., while the other is focusing on a “new game for Nintendo 3DS.”
The Super Smash Bros. presentation will take place Tuesday, June 10, at 7 p.m. PDT, with Smash Bros. mastermind Masahiro Sakurai expected to be on hand. The other event will be held Wednesday, June 11, at 6 p.m. PDT.
