How long do you play Nintendo games? After reading this you'll either want to change your gaming habits...or bang your head against the wall.
BATON ROUGE, LA. A Louisiana woman is suing Nintendo, alleging her 30-year-old son suffered seizures after playing video games for eight hours a day, six days a week.
The lawsuit filed in federal court says the man died last year after hitting his head and mouth on a table during one of the seizures. It claims the man never had seizures before buying a Nintendo-64 player in 1999.

In what appears to be a brief interview with news site Ananova (known for it's 100% CG news "anchor"), Miyamoto explains the Europe launch delay.

Nintendo Company President Hiroshi Yamauchi to retire by June.
Nintendo President Hiroshi Yamauchi (74 years old) announced at a stock holder's meeting that he, having served as president for the last 53 years, will retire by June. 1983 was the year that the Family Computer was released, reviving the Game player market. Nintendo had gone from a Hanafuda Card company to an International Game Maker company.

AOU 2002 has begun! Here's the first details of what we'll find on the show floor tomorrow morning.

According to The Magic Box, Namco announced that Soul Calibur 2 will be hitting Japan this August. When exactly is unknown, but it'll release the same time the PS2, Xbox, and...a GBA VERSION!
And now that you ask, yes, Soul Calibur 2 on GBA will have link up capabilities with the GameCube version. WORD!

Nintendo is sending cease and desists to stores selling "Flash Advance Linker", plus more on the DMCA front ...
It's turning into a very interesting week for folks involved in the grey market of selling mod chips or flash carts.
Zophar's Domain, an internet import store, just received a cease and desist letter (posted to their site), citing its accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, asking the store to stop selling "Flash Advance Linker" (a product that stores GBA games in Flash memory), and to turn over all of its stock to Nintendo.

Acclaim have most of their release dates for Europe available. What’s this? The first game will be out before the GameCube release date.
The first Acclaim published game (and possibly first GameCube game) that will be released in Europe is Extreme G 3 on April 22nd. That is nearly two weeks before the actual launch date.
The next three to follow are BurnOut, Crazy Taxi and Dave Mirra BMX 2 on May 3rd, the day the GameCube is released. 18 Wheeler (now available in the US) will also be out that month on the 31st.
