Animal Crossing-e Cards

To expand the life of Animal Crossing, Nintendo has released Animal Crossing-e Cards. These cards are the same size as regular trading cards but they contain e-Reader data for special gifts used in Animal Crossing. There are several different types of cards, with new types revealed in every series. Character Cards provide information about various characters in the game, including sex, clothes, their catch phrase, and a profile. Pattern cards provide you with special patterns which you can scan in and use on your umbrella, clothes or house. Game Cards contain little mini-games which can be played on the Game Boy Advance. You'll usually receive a code as a prize, depending on how well you do in the mini-game. These are just a few of the various types of cards.

Each Animal Crossing-e Card series contains roughly 60 different cards. A packet of them retails for about $2.99, and there are five cards per packet with instructions on how to use them. You'll definitely receive something for Animal Crossing if you have the game, whether you have a Game Boy Advance/GameCube Link Cable or not. The passwords on the cards give you pieces of furniture without a Cable, and the character cards are the most common, so you will likely get a character card in every pack. The instructions request that you don't give or sell the passwords to others.
