Evolution Skateboarding features the skateboarding action that has become so popular along with a few new twists. Each of the eight fantasy themed stages, ranging from the streets of Tokyo to the dungeon of the European castle, will have a boss that the player must defeat to advance to the next stage. Using their decks as a weapon, skaters face anything from giant spiders to runaway trucks.

There are eight professional skaters in the game,including Danny Way, Arto Saari, and Stevie Williams, and a create-a-skater mode that allows you to personalize your skater's look, deck, and even build and save signature combos.

The two player mode is split screen,and has an instant replay feature with slow motion and adjustable camera angles.
