Zelda Bonus Shipping Already
« on: February 06, 2003, 09:40:42 PM »
EBGames.com and other online retailers taking orders for Zelda + Bonus disc are already shipping the discs.

If you pre-ordered The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker plus the bonus disc from EBGames.com or other online retail stores, and opted to receive the bonus OOT/Ura disc upon availability, your discs may already be on their way.

Many orders from EBGames.com show that the bonus discs are being mailed UPS via 3-day shipping. Delivery could take place February 12 or sooner, depending on one's distance from the Kentucky warehouse.

If your respective online retailer offers order status and tracking information, check to see if you may receive the highly anticipated bonus in the mail next week.

In the meantime, check out PGC's impressions of The Ocarina of Time and Ura Zelda.

Any word on EB brick and mortars?  Will they be getting the disk early or is it still the 16th/17th?

My question exactly, I preordered from a new local EBGames (who've so far been pleasently on-top of the Zelda info, most EB's I've been in before are always behind the news and info and even new offers by their own store, even on the bigger game releases), I was wondering if I should try swinging by there on my way home today to check, or if the effort would be moot. I live only a state away from Kentucky, if that's EB's main distribution hub...

I went to my local EB to see if they had the disk in today. At first the woman that I was talking to tried to act like she didn't know what I was talking about. Then the guy behind the counter spoke up and said they had recieved the disks but wouldn't give them out till the 16th. Pissed me of. They have the damn things why don't they just give them to the people who pre-ordered Wind Waker now instead of waiting. I was hoping to be able to get it now because I plan on beating both Ocarina and Master Quest before I play Wind Waker and wanted to have lots of time to do it.

Same reason as always. Retails can face repercussions, or at least threats, from Nintendo for breaking their dates. The story pertains to online retailers only. Actual stores aren't issuing them yet.

Actually, I know someone who says they got their disk from an EB store aleady.  He said the employer figured that some stores around the area already "broken bread" and gave out the disks.  It depends on the area, I suppose...I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if I can pick it up.

Why do the online retailer not fear Nintendo's wrath? Anyways, EB allowed us to preorder early and still get the bonus, which is not how Nintendo stated it would work, so what's the problem with giving us the goods if they got em already?
I have crabs, would you like some?

Visit TendoFire, it's for your own good, OK!

Yeah!  I just got my disk today at EB!  Called them up, they said it was cool, and I drove there as fast as I can to snatch my own copy!  Rejoice!  ^__^

My question is why are they allowing people that ordered on the online stores to get the disk now but not those that pre-ordered at the physical store? It's really unfair if you ask me.
