I concede ... I was indeed mistaken on that fact.  Our German friends are free to apply, as long as they meet the other criteria!

Yeah right you were hired by them. I mean for starters it HTLOZ not HTWOZ. Heck i bet you dont even know what HTLOZ stands for! (Hyrule the Land of Zelda)

Did you even bother checking the URL? Apparently not otherwise you would know that www.htwoz.com is a valid URL and an actual site and that it's just currently "closed" (sorry for using the incorrect term before in saying that it's "down"). HTWOZ is founded by Brian and Blazer. Blazer was part of the staff of HTLOZ until it went down. Brian and Blazer decided to form HTWOZ when they found out that Falco-X wasn't interested in reviving HTLOZ.

HTWOZ stands for "Hyrule the World of Zelda". BTW, how much did you want to put down as bet

I can understand if some people don't trust what others say about themselves, this is the internet after all. But at the very least do more than just "reply" right off the bat with the assumption that I'm lying. The very least you could've done was actually check the URL to know that there is actually that site that I mentioned.

SC5 is also a staff writer for HTWOZ as well. Hired before the site closed temporarily.

Ok, I was alerted of this thread, and boy...it's really starting to get out of hand.  Mainly one of the reasons why we rarely publicly open up job openings.

I thought we made everything pretty clear on the main page, outside of the Europe thing.  We're looking for someone close or in London to assist with everything that goes on there.  Sorry for the confusion.

Lets keep this thread mainly for questions about the process or anything else.

Ok, im really interested in applying for the Australian staff position, i meet all the criteria, i can travel anywhere on short notice, i have reasonable writing experience (i can provide samples and articles that i have written if you require them, even about video games), i love Nintendo. BUT, i have one question before i send in my application. I am only 16, is that significant in any way, do i have to be over 18 to apply for this job. Oh, and how much is the pay

Oh and the word volunteer should have clued you in that this is not a paid position.  None of us get paid.

Daniel, was that directed at me? Because I was just joking.....

I think that you guys should have a retro writer on your staff... (Sorry if this is a little off topic).

I really enjoy retro articles and the guy that said he owned every system sans Virtual Boy made me think about how much fun virtual boy was.. then I thought of how cool it would be to have articles on it, and so on and so on... anyways... Just a thought for maybe future job offerings or something.

My edit was going to be:  One more question, have you guys ever thought of having something like this on PGC?

We've had under 18 staff before. I don't know about these specific positions, but I would believe work ethic takes precedence over age... with the exception of positions where the staffer would need to attend press events which might or might not be 18+ affairs.

But BILLEH or Rick would be better to answer. If they decide to.

We are mainly looking for people based on location. If you don’t live in one of these places but still want to join us, please do not apply now. We hire new staff periodically, and something in your field will probably open up soon.

Now, does that mean soon you'll have other positions?  Or does that mean it might be a year?

Maybe soon, maybe a year, maybe never. Don't read into it too much.

Question before I send anything in:  I live in the Minneapolis area, but I also work for another console site.  What kind of work are we exactly looking at and who would I contact to ask a few more questions about this.  Thanks much.

Some people sure are being quite childish about this...get over it, my god.

Also, I have a question...is there a certain age you would like your staff members to be, like 18+?

Okay, it seems to me that I lot of people here are just wasting the PGC staff's time(not that they have anything better to do) by asking questions that have already been answered. ie: Do you have you be 18? What if I don't live in one of those locations? Do you need prior experience?

Well, I say to you folk asking these questions: "Read the other posts and read the first post by the news bot, it answered a lot of your questions.

Well, now that my little rant is over, I have a real question to ask.
I don't live in one of those areas, but I have a job lined up for me this summer as an Electronic Arts Game Tester at their head office near where I live. Would this help me/give me any chance of getting hired at PGC? I also have a lot of experience writing about video games(specifically Nintendo) and hardware.
