EA Sports Active Blog: Day 5

  Today's workout was a nice change of pace, as it focused on upper-body activities. Seeing that announcement from the game, I finally upgraded to a stronger resistance band that made those exercises much more challenging. The workout also included a good bit of cardio boxing, which doesn't use the band. I really like this activity, as it actually does a good job of measuring your punching strength. If you throw a weak punch with either hand, the targets won't break. It's good visual feedback that provides an extra ounce of motivation.    


No weight loss or gain today, but I burned another 137 calories with Active, then immediately went to play Ultimate Frisbee for an hour. I'm starting to wonder if new muscle mass (which I've always built very quickly) is canceling out any fat loss. We'll see if tomorrow's weigh-in reflects such an active dayÂ…
