Star Fox returns for more destruction on foot, in a tank and in the Arwing.Futher footage of Star Fox (as it is now named) was shown at today’s press conference. Aliens are the latest threat on Dinosaur Planet and Fox and the team return to hunting down and destroying the enemy. More on ground action was present with on-foot battle and an armored Landmaster Tank to traverse the terrain and shoot down the aliens. The environments resemble those from Dinosaur Planet and there are attacks from many enemies on screen at once.
The Arwing sections shown were again limited but the background and level detail is a more impressive than the ground sections. The multiplayer mode includes in air and on land combat and the two-player mode in space uses a vertical split screen with each player in an Arwing.

At Nintendo’s press conference this morning, the first ever footage of Namco’s new Starfox game was shown. The game is currently titled "Starfox 2." Most of what was shown was ground-based multi-player action. The game takes place after the crisis on Dinosaur Planet. Players will be able to take the fight to the enemy via Arwing, Landmaster Tank, or on foot. The game features a two player co-op mode in which one player drives or flies while the other rides shotgun on the outside of the vehicle, helping to shoot down enemies. The entire Star Fox team is playable, as well as Krystal from Dinosaur Planet. There is also a four-player split screen mode.
