The famous video game creator will be signing autographs and playing with Nintendogs at the Nintendo World Store in New York!

To promote Nintendogs, Shigeru Miyamoto (of Mario and Zelda fame) will make a special appearance in New York on Sunday to sign autographs, meet fans and let his Nintendog play.

The event takes place from 11am to 1pm, and the first 200 fans in line are guaranteed an autograph.  The first ten will also have the opportunity to play with Mr. Miyamoto and his virtual pet in Bark Mode.  Nintendo will also give away Nintendo DS skins featuring Mr. Miyamoto's signature.

If you're in the NY area, you don't want to miss this!  The Nintendo store's address is:

15 hours? That's insane. I hope you plan that as a two day drive at least.

Man, I wish he had done signings when he came to DC.

Oh well, 4 hours sitting 10 feet away from Shiggy was cool enough.

If I recall, when he made an apperance at the a Virgin Megastore in London, the store, expecting maybe a few dozen people t show up were completly underprepared when nearly a thousand people showed up. He stayed an extra six hours or something.

The queues arrived weeks and months before. People built full purpose kitchens outside Virgin Megastore that day, full plumbing, electricity, gas, water and everything. </slight exaggeration>

He might need security. Who knows what the fans will do to get of glimpse of Miyamoto? Maybe would be up to the task? But even he would security from his fanbase/cult. Oh the layers of complexity...

It goes without saying, it would behoove any PGC'ers around the NY area not to let this chance slip by them. Who knows when he'll make another public appearance. I'm guessing once he goes back to Japan, NCL will lock him away in the basement endlessly toiling until he has a breakout hit for the Revolution.

REGGIE's might would stop the fanboys as they would choke on the awe of his presence.

If any PGCers are going, you'd be my eternal hero if you'd get me *anything* (cheaparse, that is) Zelda-related signed by the master...  I so wish I could go, but it'd never happen.
I'd mail you something out (Like Zelda I or something...) but it'd never make it in time...

Somebody needs to ask Shiggy to sign a whole stack of carbon paper, then everyone at PGC could get an autograph!  Just ask him kindly to apply more pressure, it'll be grand!

I am still in shock that I saw him with my own eyes. It was amazing!!! Hes such a friggin nice guy its unbelievable. He took time to talk a little to each person he was autographing for and seemed really considerate to everyone. He even stuck his tongue out in some pictures.

Camping out was SO worth it, plus I met a lot of cool people. The night before on the line, Bill Trinen was passing by and he had a surprised look on his face when I actually pointed him out and shook his hand. Also, the guys at Nintendo World were really nice. They even gave all of the campers free pizza and water bottles. The best was when this Sony fan showed up and tried to rival all of us. At first he was an extreme annoyance (mostly cause he was there from night to morning) but eventually tons of amazing debates were created which made the night so much more interesting.

So when the day came and I was in the store, the first person I saw was none other than Reggie. It was just so histerical that I saw him in real life after seeing the hundreds of avatar creations on PGC. I couldnt help but laugh. When It was my turn to meet Miyamoto, to my delight, everyone who was sitting with him (Bill Trinen, Miyamoto, and his wife) were making OOHs and AHHs over what I brought for him to sign. And that was the original arcade screen cover for Donkey Kong. I got a picture with him, left the building, and was greeted to tons of press and fans taking pictures of me with my autographed screen cover. The whole thing was crazy.

Anyway, I'll try to get some pics up soon if anyones interested.

THANK YOU MIYAMOTO!

Considering that you're still alive I suppose you didn't show him your avatar?

There are some pretty good impressions and lots of pictures over at gamesarefun.com.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!
