I haven't been able to find an answer to this and you sound like the person who will be able to answer this.

Does the Zelda game come on a Gold Cartridge?

nope.  both zelda and ice climbers (and i presume all of them) are classic Nintendo Grey.  a nice change from the standard GBA black.

well I must say I'm pretty disapointed now, I was really hoping that Zelda would have come in a Gold Cartridge just like my old NES copy.

not sure if I'm going to buy any of the classic games, I was thinking of getting Zelda but now that I know its not a  Gold Cartridge I don't think I'll get it. I have it for my NES and I have it on the Zelda Bonus Disc and Animal Crossing. So its kind of pointless to spend $20 on it.

Thanks for the Info.

I have all/most of the NES games worth anything on animal crossing. The ones I don't own on animal crossing I have for the old NES anyway. Not much point in forking over 30 bucks as far as I can see.

If I want to play Zelda on the go I'll play Link's Awakening DX which is about fifty billion times better.  The original Zelda's okay for nostalgia but it's pretty dated.  It's worth having a copy of in some format but unless it's like your favourite game ever there's no need to buy it twice.

Well. Okay. You can get err....very mad for all I care. Ian Sane is right, I own links awakening and it is ten times better than the original. There is no need to buy it twice.

I also agree that the games are a rip.  Shame too, it was such a cool idea.

Circuit City is have a tubular sale starting wednesday of next week.  All classic NES edition games will be 14.99 and the first 10 games purchased will come with a cool orange T-Shirt that says "Mario Bros. Plumbing" on it.  Its pretty cool.... I haven't gotten mine yet cause the computer won't let me, but I have seen them.

20 bucks for those old games is a bit expensive, that's true.
I wish they'd be like 10.
But I couldn't resist and ordered Legend of Zelda, oh soooo many memories with that game, I had to buy it.
Sheesh I'm so weak! lol

Well thats fine. I didn't say it was foolhardy for anyone else to buy these games, I just said that for me, it wasn't worth it to pay twice what the games are worth to buy them twice.

Yea, my Best Buy here is Mass. has them for 17.99 which isn't as bad as 20.00, but it's still alittle high.

I think it is a big scam, but now that I have just found out that Circuit City is selling them for 14.99 on Weds. with a free Mario T-Shirt, I might just go out and get one of the games.

I wish nintendo would concentrate on some new games for GBA, it would be such a wonderful way to have new games in old-school format, but all their attention seems to be focused on rehash after rehash and then reselling it for twice normal value on GBA. There have been only two mario adventure platforming games in the last 8 years for both n64 and Gamecube, and its time for some new blood.
