Man, I am soooo disappointed in yesterday. I almost got Metroid Prime, but didn't. Then I almost got a Game Boy Advance SP, but didn't. Man!

Other than that, the day was great! Mario man, gimme ur address on ICQ. I come over or something, and play Metroid.

*and steal it from you*
Grrrrr!

And Star Fox Adventures is great, by the way. I'd say if Zelda on GBA is great, but then I don't have a GBA. Grrrrrrrr!

Wow, a copy of Golden Sun for the ultra-hyped, unreleased Metroid Prime? It's a deal and a half!

Heh, Termin8, you know, since you actually own Zelda: LttP, you can legally go get the ROM now? But still, playing it on the computer is nothing compared to playing the real thing..

Btw, where's that report dammit? I wanna see us freaking the ever so odd Pikachu out with the hug of love =)

Weeee! I'm off to bed! (I also managed to score myself a cold, it would seem. Welp, another freebie to add to the list! ^_^)

Oh yes! Polls!
Oh, oh, I got one! Should Nintendo host these events all over Australia next time?

- Yes
- Indeed they should
- Hell yeah
- "Top dollar!"
- I'm quite thirsty
- I'm more than friends with Yoshi
- No
- Of course
- We don't say the "S" word
- But what about pancakes?
- Nintendo? Is that a line of hair care products?
- Bloody hell, hell is full of blood
- I'm about to die because I ate 4 week old fish
- I'm spinning on my computer chair
- WEEEE!
- *I feel asleep*

Choose, now!

Mario! Infernal Monkey! Don't tell them anything about the event until i post the report! Not even about all the things we won!

I don't want to spoil the good stuff!

I feel sorry for all you people in other states. Haha.

So wait until my report, and then we'll talk!

Oh, and I have pictures too!

Termin8Anakin, why don't u get a giant paddle and hit Infernal Monkey in the head!  i read his journal (nicely done, BTW), and he already revealed lots.  anyone got pics of him dancing?  i wanna see it!

so yeah, i'm jealous.  real jealous.  you folks were getting free stuff while i was at a Kathmandu sale (got a beanie half price which i look cute in!) and doing my lab report.  grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  if i ever see you folks, run from me b/c i'll be carrying a shiny axe...real shiny...

BTW, that event made me wonder.  if nintendo australia can host an event and give away lots of free stuff (plus a holiday), why can't they advertise more?

Well, gimmie a chance to FINISH the game, then I'll think about the offer. It is worth it though. How about a hardly played copy of Super Monkey Ball 2 for the GBA? Interested? Talk to me on ICQ if you are.
I asked Mario if he would swap SMB2 for Metroid Prime. He said no. Why? SMB2 is a perfectly good game.
Haha.

Well, Rick said that there was every chance that they would pass on my report. Meaning that they might not post it for the world to see.
But I have sent the story already, at around noon today. And I sent the photos as well. There were 22 photos.
In the case that they don't post it, I'll have it up on my website. I will put it up on there anyway. Photos included. Tonight. So if you don't see it on PGC, go to my website, then click on 'My Two Cents'.

Well done Termin8Anakin *claps*. That was extremely well written. OMG WE ARE TEH FAMOUS!1 But you forgot a few things with the Nint Aus interview. Remember, Golden Sun 2 comes out in April, Golden Sun 2 is really good, Something happens in Eternal Darkness on some day, no comment on Mario Kart, Fzero by the end of year, Metroid Prime commercials in a couple of days, He was happy with the success of the event, its Nintendo Japan's fault for lack of advertising in Australia, and um yeah..... *shrugs shoulders*. BTW, Nintendo Australia have announced the official release date for Wind Waker........................... 9th May 2003!!!!!

*continues playing Metroid Prime (BEST GAME EVAR!!!!!)*

Well sorry. I forgot those minor details.
With Eternal Darkness, the rep told us to play the game at 3:33am. Cause some weird sh!t happens. If you can't be bothered to stay up this late, just set the clock to 3:30, then start playing until it happens. But if you want a genuine experience, just relly go and play it at 3:33am. I don't know what happens. But I'll try tonight. Ooooooh!

And I guess you hammered the rest there, Mario.

And screw you about Metroid! I could have won! Bugger you!
ARRRRRRRRRGH!
But this is a great time everyone!
NIntendo Australia does something to rekindle out love for them!

Oh dear, I just witnessed the first Australian-game related April fools joke. Very sad indeed...

Quote

AUSTRALIA, March 31, 2003 -Nintendo Australia have discovered a technical fault in some of their game discs. A few Gamecube owners reported their consoles to malfunction after playing some games for long periods of time. Our hardware technicians discovered the laser which reads game discs could get accidentally damaged when its own light was reflected off the back of a disc and back onto itself at the wrong angle.
Nintendo of Australia request all Gamecube owners stop playing the following games immediately;
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4
Medal of Honour: Frontline
Mario Party 4
Starfox Adventures

Details will be released in the next few days of where you can swap your games with fixed discs.

From Cube Australia

UH-OH! BETTER THROW YOUR COPY OF SFA OUT THE WINDOW TERMIN8! QUICK, MARIO! BURN THAT MARIO PARTY! BURN EM' ALL!

Uh-oh, what if Medal of Honor is also screwing up my PS2?! Aiiiiiieeee! *Stands on disc and does the Link dance*

Man, you go away for a weekend and this happens! Wow. This is a good start for NOAus getting back in Australia.

Termin8, brilliant article. I wish I had come along. Apart from the 800km or so to drive to Sydney, I would have dropped everything. And the free stuff!!

Mario, well done on picking up Prime. I played the demo today and I have to say, "Wow, this game is absolutely amazing!" And now I am getting it on Thursday, when it comes out. The controls are definitely unusual, but I was getting the hang of it by the end of the 7 min demo.

And I have pre-ordered Zelda: WW too, because of the bonus disk offer. I have no self-control.

Yay, the holidays are coming up! Lots of time playing Metroid and getting back into Eternal Darkness!

Yo Shifty, where abouts do you live?
Victoria? Queensland? Rural NSW?
And thanks. I was so happy when they put it up.

And about throwing out SFA, I would never do it for a million bucks (or maybe I would, but that's not the point). The game does have a nasty habit of jumping, which gets annoying. Maybe the Nintendo Australia Joke is real after all?
Seriously though, I think SFA is a heaps mad game. The puzzles are not so hard like Zelda, and it feels just as good when you figure them out.

Termin8Anakin, good work on your article.  i hope you enjoyed your 15 minutes of fame.  maybe this will be the break you'll need to get into journalism?

however, i was disappointed there was not a picture of Infernal Monkey doing the Link dance.  not happy!  and funny i now know what you 3 fellas look like!  hehe...you'll NEVAR know what i look like!  (He looks like a devil - A Parent)

i was surprised that Animal Crossing is still coming to Aussie Land.  i thought it had been canned.  any word on the release date?  there's only one thing i can say about the game:  there's goes my life!  *flushes life down the toilet, buh-bye!*

blast.  when i was really young, i had friends who had nintendo.  i remember playing the first zelda game on the NES with a friend and we tried to complete the game together.  we went as far to call nintendo hotline for help!  i never had the SNES, but another friend did, and we played mario kart all the time.  it was the best multiplayer game at the time.  ahh...these were the days.

but today, i don't have any friends who have nintendo.  they have PS2 and/or play on PCs (and i don't like online games).  *sobs*
