Look for some tall dude with a crappy goatee, half assed spiked hair and wearing an old Coca-Cola backpack that afternoon. That'll be me! I'll also most likely be yelling things very loud and random people, because... Freaking people out is hilarious!

Damn, I hope they have the likes of Metroid, Fzero and Zelda there to play!

... Might also attempt to kick Jade and Ryan in the balls too.

damn Disney for hardly promoting the movie.  if they had promoted like they did (and are now with VHS and DVD release) of Lilo and Stich (sp?), it would done way better.  Spirited Away was freakin' awesome, i saw it twice and can't wait for the DVD release.  the book "The Art of Spirited Away" i ordered from Amazon.com should arrive any day now.

about SMB2, i rang EB on Friday and they told me it would come out this Tuesday.  i hope they ring me tomorrow and i'll go bananas all the way to EB...after all i am AiAi...why do i have to wait so long to see myself in a freakin' game once again?

tsk, tsk!!!!

what kind of university is that?  i have used my uni library computer for any internet purpose (okay, with the exception of porn).  there are always Asians playing shockwave games and chatting.  heck, several times last year, my project group stayed to after 8pm b/c we spend to much time surfing the net instead of finishing the assignment and was SHOCKED when we got 90% for one of them.

Yeah, I wish it was like that, but there are heaps of people who need the net more than I do, liek for study. But there are librarians standing around watching for people who play flash games (the Metroid Prime one on the Nintendo Europe site is COOOOOL! I got busted playing that).
There are also a few Computer Labs on the campus, but hardly nobody goes there.

UWS Bankstown isn't that big a campus, not like Uni of Sydney or Uni of Technology Sydney (UTS).

EB had better ring me tomorrow as well. I WANT SMB2 NOW!
Does anybody know about what time of day They would call you? Just for future referecnce, since I'm home all day tomorrow anyway.

Haha. Right there with ya dude. I'll be there. Look for an Asian fella with a yellow and white 'cougar' shirt, and daaaark blue cargos. I'll also have a worn out coke bag. No crappy goatee, or half assed spiked hair. I'm 175cm. IS that tall? I dunno.  Answers to the name of Steve, Amidala Rocks, Anakin Must Die, Termin8, or Pham. Go to my website (look in sig below) so you guys know what I look like.

Unlike you, I'll shy away in some corner, telling kids how cool Nintendo is, and making them enter the comp. We should all go there. I'll be standing at the base of the stairs in front of Imax, at a time designated by me. Haha. More details soon. Get thusday's Daily Telegraph.

As much as I'd like to kick Matt and Jade's balls, I think I should just say thanks for running one of my fave animes. Then kick em. Haha. And yes, hopefully there are playable Gamecube pods of Zelda, Prime and F-Zero there (doubt it though).

See y'all there at our biggest Nintendo event evah!

Hey, nice site Termin8. That's the first time I've actually noticed it in your sig ^_^;
Very smart looking! *Looks over at my old Geocities sites, hangs head in shame*

Hmm, I'll answer to the following *ahem*; Infernal, Monkey, Lance, Hey you! or even a slap to the back of the head.
It's all good!

I hope it gets a decent amount of people there, and hopefully Nintendo will promote the GameCube in there somewhere! I don't wanna it restricted to Pokemon Ruby and so on, no sir!

AND YAY! I FINALLY GOT SONIC MEGA COLLECTION!

Oh man, it's sad to say, but I almost cried when booting this up. So beautiful! From the scanned comics, to the STUNNING cleaned up versions of the Sonic CD video's (full screen anime fun!)

What was cool, is that as soon as I went to the games section, I unlocked "Flicky" because I had a SA2:B save on my card =)
That's all I've unlocked so far, really wanna unlock Ristar.

And the original Sonic is... Odd. It's actually the Japanese version, since the clouds in the background move, and there's more special effects with the water. Wonder why it was cut from the US/PAL versions?

Plus it has the option of playing them all in 60 Htz! YAY!

Why is that bad?

I just think it's weird that they're holding the event here in Sydney instead of Melbourne, since Nintendo of Australia HQ is based in Victoria.

So in that case, there must be something about us that ROCKS!

Infernal, i have a question. Would you buy Sonic Mega Collection over Metroid Prime? If they were both sitting on the shelf, and you could only buy one, which would it be? Oh, and has anyone played Super Monkey Ball 2 yet? I saw it today in Kmart.

Am I the only one on this thread who has Super Monkey Ball 2?

I got to Bankstown Sqaure after my day at Uni, and went straight to EB.
"Hi, just like to ask if Super Monkey Ball 2 is out today?"
I was expecting the guy to say 'nah, not till next year' or something.
"Yeah it's out today..."
I gave the Gamecube shelf a quick glance. It wasn't there.
"....but it won't be here until 2pm."
"OK, thanks."

I Walked off. So close yet so far. I took out my mobile, and it said 11am. DAMN! Three hours to burn, and nothing to do. So, I went to the Newsagent, smiled at the chick whom I fancy, and saw the new issue of Nintendo Gamer. Link is on front! I bought it, gave another smile to the chick whom I fancy, then went to the one place that could keep me busy for three hours. The library.
I hadn't been in a public library since 1998. It was newly refurbished, and I was impressed. I asked the librarian if I could aply for a card.
"Are you 18 years old?"
I was somewhat taken back. You need to be 18 to get a LIBRARY CARD? Man.
"Ah damn. I'm 17 turning 18 in a few months, so...."
"Sorry, you need your parents to come in here."
"OK, thanks."
I walked upstairs, and found one book that could keep me occupied for three hours. Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, the novel.
I sat down next to two other chicks, whom I now fancy, and read the book. Only problem was, I kept looking at the clock for the time....every five minutes, so the time seemed to drag.
1:59pm, I left the library, and headed for EB.
"Is it in yet?" I asked.
The guy was just unwrapping them from the plastic.
"It sure is."
He took one from the box, scanned it, and said
"Thats $99.95 please."
I showed him the pre-order docket, which had $17 credit on it.
"Ahh, a pre-order, and $17 credit."
A few taps on the keybord, and he said
"Thats $82.95."
I paid the guy, and left with a, literally, fresh copy of Super Monkey Ball 2. I was suprised. I had never been so persistent on a game before. I think I'm gonna be RUTHLESS when it comes to get my copy of Zelda.

OK. Testing time.
I loaded up the game. Sega's logo came up, and then AV's logo, with it's harpsichord sounding theme.
I started the game, Story Mode, and watched the intro:
Whoever came up with the cinematics for this game must have been on some serious magic mushroom or something, cause the monkeys just keep flying from world to world in a flurry of rhymes, ending with 'Magical Spell is Ai-Ai-Poo!'

The gameplay is great. It can get annoying at times, though. This is one game that you don't want to turn up the speakers for. The music, a mix of cheery techno, is repetitive, but suits to some degree. The sound affects are cool. My sister just kept screaming every time Baby fell off the level (in practice mode). There is another annoying thing, and that is hearing 'Ready....Go!' all the time. On the hard ones, you will hear this every three seconds as you retry the level, and it will reduce you to a crying, mumbling heap. And I'm only up to World 3:10 (I'm stuck on the level called 'Dribbles', it is damn hard. And what was with that 'Inch' level in World 2? Geez, talk about Impossible).

The multiplayer, though, is f**cking awesome. I only had the chance to play bowling, but it was just amazing.

So far, I'd give the game a 90%.
Annoying at times, but purely addictive.

haha yeah, im going to goto the store before it opens so i can get my zelda before anyone! wont be able todo that with metroid =\ i stupidly pre ordered it where mum works, and now that i work, i cant really go there =\ so i better have a full day at work so i have something to take my mind off "metroid is out... why arnt' i playing it? where is metroid, ill bet everyone else is playing it, loving it too, why oh why cant i play it " etc

Well, personally, If I saw both of them sitting next to eachother, and I could only get one.. I'd go with Sonic Mega Collection. But hey, I have almost an obsession with Sonic the Hedgehog based stuff, so yeah! I will be getting Metroid, for sure, but I can't resist Sonic.

Mario, I'd say go with Metroid if you're stuck. Unless you have a fixation on Sonic like I, you'll get more out of Metroid.

*Shrugs shoulders*

And what's with Super Monkey Ball 2's box art? Bah, why can't we just stick with the American box?

Wow, when I first moved to NSW, I applied for a library card at Blacktown and Parra and got them right there and then, and I was like, 13 at the time! Silly 18+ library! =O MAYBE THEY HAVE PORN!

Hey Aussie Gamers! Shifty 2k2 is now the one and only Shifty!

I've just started at Adelaide Uni (give us a heads-up if you're around at all, I'm in most days 9-5) and this is a absolute drain on everything. Too much work. Too little time to do everything else that I was doing before Uni. So unfortunately the Cube is gathering dust. I haven't even got around to playing through Resident Evil or Eternal Darkness because of this, which I bought because I thought the boredom would get to me.

Apart from the deficiency in Nintendo lurve, Uni life is a blast. If you are of age, go out on a pub crawl with some friends. The Engineering Pub Crawl last week was the most fun I've had in ages, even with three months away from school. Imagine 750+ people, wandering the streets of Adelaide, searching for another place to get a cheap drink. That was how I spent 9 hours on a Friday night!

Hopefully I'll find some time to get through Metroid, but I'm not sure at this point.

Seeya round like a donut!

**BREAKING NEWS FOR ALL IN SYDNEY!**

Grace Bros is opening a new store in Casula, at some place called Crossroads, and they're holding a sale......with Gamecube consoles going for a mere $99! And some games are going out the door for $19! No kidding, althought the games my cousin mentioned were Minority Report and Rocky.
The sale is also happening at Grace Bros at Auburn Mega Mart. I don't know about other Grace Bros stores, but if you don't have a Gamecube yet, GET ONE NOW!
And if you already have one, like me, well, suck sh!t.
