I decided to pick up this game and start playing it again and im stuck.

I am Karim in Chapter 4:  The Gift Of Forever/ Persia

I am apparently supposed to stick the Ram Dao sword into this door but it wont accept it.  I noticed the rune design on the door so i enchanted the sword and it still doesnt work.  So i figure i missed somethin and i have walked throughout the map a billion times and i cant find anytihng at all to get passed this.  What silly @$$ thing am i doing wrong?

If I remember, you need a different sword, actually - go to that one room with the lava pit with the thing in the middle and try reveal invisible.

Can't exactly remember... but you might try enchanting the sword using an alignment that beats the one pictured on the door..

i dont have reaveal invisible spell, and i only have recover, and enchant spells.  Ive look through the level and i cant find anything.  There is a door that i cant get to because the roof fell in on it, am i supposed to do something there?

ghostVi is right, you need to enchant your sword with the correct color (NOT the one on the door). To find the right color, go to the dining room and look above the fireplace.

ShaolinKilla, I've checked this yesterday, and it looks like you've already done what was needed to unlock the door. Anyway, here's what it takes: 1) Find the Ram Dao sword, 2) enchant it with the color pictured on the door, 3) "use" the enchanted sword on the door, 4) open the door and proceed further...
