god help me

well guys your my last resort, as of lately my gamecube, no matter what game i play, will start to read the disc and completely restart, previously it would sometimes completely ignore the game and goto the memory card menu, and once i got some error .
tricky got me this far...

Search the forums, if it is under warrenty and you're in the U.S. call 1-800-255-3700.  Hope it's fixed soon!

slight problem, i never registered cube when i bought it. i did check the forums btw, and i don't have money to give out for it to be professionally repaired.

try the cleaning the lens or using the air compression thingy if that dosent work then i think your screwed

Sounds like the same thing that was happening to DreamCast systems awhile back, the laser reader was out of adjustment and the DC could not read the discs properly.

I repaired my DC using a web resource.

I am not sure if a web resource exists for fixing you GC laser.

Anyways, check the DC information and mabey you can figure out something for the GC.

deificide, you can still register your GameCube online, (I just registered mine a few weeks ago) and I really don't think it matters much if it's registered or not.  I hear that Nintendo is pretty good with their warranties... you should at least try.

There's a thread with info about it around here somewhere though.  Supposedly, someone here fixed such a problem by tinkering with his laser assembly.  Check it out.
