how odd... the microsoft page i got didn't mention Me at all, only NT/2k/2k3/xp

how odd... unless the worm has been modified to effect Me..

That would explain a few things. Well, let's just say that the switch on our computer's powerbar has been getting a fair amount of use.

That site doesn't mention anything about ME being affected. It does, however give a link to a Microsoft Security Bulliten that has this list:

"Affected Software:

Microsoft Windows NT® 4.0
Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Services Edition
Microsoft Windows 2000
Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft Windows Serverâ„¢ 2003

Not Affected Software:

Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition"

So ME is not affected.

How was that little bit at the end more official than the list I got from http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-026.asp which would be an official source?

And why not go http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823980 which also gives a list of what is affected? You'll notice that ME is not mentioned on these lists. So explain how these are wrong. As these lists say, only Windows NT 4.0, Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows 2003 servers (all versions of each) are affected.

I never said it was official, I just asked why ME was even mentioned if it's not affected.  And ME was listed on the Update page for the patch when I whent o get it earlier in the week.  I'm not crazy, and I'm not stupid,  I'm not trying to claim ME is affected, I am merely stating that it was at one time listed as an affected OS.  And why is some places still listing ME/XP, if ME isn't affected at all, shouldn't ME be taken out since ME and XP are different OS?

Right now, ME is listed as NOT AFFECTED. End of story.
