Is using an image that you have uploaded to a hosting site as your avatar considered hotlinking? I've been using 1asphost.com to host my avatar for a very long time, but as of tonight my avatar has been replaced with a stupid pic saying that I'm hotlinking and it's against the rules. I know a lot of other people use 1asphost.com to host their avatars, so what the hell is the deal?

Gibdo: The mods aren't omniscient and can't smell whether your avatar is really hosted on your site. They said it helps if your nickname or PGC appears in the url.

Bill: That looks like it's a concept drawing from Final Fantasy. I guess 7 and I guess it's Aeris, though I'm not sure since I have never seen that char...

Nah, this was something that 1asphost.com put up, not the mods. I e-mailed them about it and they said they don't want anyone posting images that they have hosted on their site. Kind of ruins the whole point doesn't it? What's also stupid is that they don't want anyone to use their "hosting" service for storage either. So just what the hell are you supposed to be able to do you ediots? Ugh.
