Wow, an actual real game in this developer roundtable. How'd that end up in there?

I hope this trend doesn't continue and we get 90 minutes of nothing. I know E3 is more for the investors than the fans, but c'mon man talk about some new stuff.

I'll take it as a hint that they still care about F-Zero. It's as if Nintendo want to use NintendoLand as a place where people get the know the functions of the gamepad better. Not only that, but also as a place that people can visit to get a taste of the "forgotten" franchises that we haven't seen in awhile, like the F-Zero themed mini-game mentioned at the roundtable. Pure speculation of course, but it's a vision that just popped up in my head.

Eguchi: We are writing the system to enable those transfers. (!!!!!!)

Not enough exclamation points. They seriously couldn't have thought to wait this late to implement this into the system, could they?

7:13:58: Eguchi: Of course I would say yes. But I also want to note that we are "powering up" with Wii U. There's an attitude that Nintendo is targeting casual users, but actually we're more interested in making games for people who really love games.

Stop sending mixed message if you want to market this thing to the Core.  You can't say at last year's Press Conference that you want us back and want to show us new experiences, and then put out trash like this year's Press Conference.  If the Wii U is labeled the "casual" system again, it'll be because of days like today.

*Sigh* At this point I see no reason at all to get a Wii U at launch. I like what ZombiU seems like. I like Lego City but everything else really.... I've never played Pikmin so in the end it Pikmin 3 means nothing to me. Maybe something later will change my mind but at the moment I see no reason to keep saving up for the system and not buy other games on the PS3/360 as they come out.

Jonny's question is the only one featured in the Wii U Developer discussion Video on Nintendo's All-Access Site ... Great to see a familiar face.

I don't know how I feel about the launch slate of Wii U games either, but I do know that "people who really love games" extends far beyond the assumed definition of CORE gamers. The core of anything is really only the sphere in the middle. It's solid, but it's smaller than the surrounding everything else. I appreciate how Nintendo continually wants to keep making games for the largest amount of people, instead of making the industry a more and more insular place with games that require 10+ years play-experience to understand what's happening on-screen.

Agree, but NintendoLand is a nice to have not a system seller.  There giving it focus like it is.
