I don't think tendo means only MM should get to make the Nexus, just wondering why they don't make it too since Google owns them.

Google bought Motorola Mobility long after Samsung had started working on the latest Nexus phone (Galaxy Nexus), but like they have gone on record saying, it doesn't just mean that Motorola automatically gets to make the next Nexus phone. To be fair though, the Motorola Xoom is the Nexus of tablets...so they do have that going for them.
