Well, guess it's my turn to start watching...

Dear God, I've done better special effects in my first semester College After Effects class. It's so
obviously a toy plane being dangled in front of a green screen while "lightning flashes" (also known as quickly raising the brightness of the image for a split-second while inserting a "thunder" sound clip) over the image. What, did
The Asylum (
website) make this cheap Jurassic Park knock-off? And, incidentally, what an exciting intro, consisting
entirely of credits super-imposed over a rotating shot of said plane until an N64-grade explosion erupts from the wing as the After Effects Lightning effect strikes it.
I'm already starting to wish I'd watching Ghoulies 2 instead.

Yes, it's another terrible toy model posing as a real location, this time a boat. What strikes me here, though, is that this gunfight would actually be kind of decent if the editor wasn't constantly quick-cutting and the cinematographer used a steady cam instead of this obnoxious "shaky cam" constantly rocking the image from side to side.

Ok,
stop cutting back to that goddamn timer on the terrorist's boat! Seriously,
why is that timer important considering
no one is still on the boat? Yes, the SEALs are blowing up the boat with the missiles on it, though why I can't fathom considering the terrorists abandoned them. You'd think it would be more efficient just to confiscate them and send them back to base rather than using explosives to destroy an entire boat.
And I love, by the way, that all this just
happened to be taking place just off the coast of an island with dinosaurs on it. Ok, we're not ripping off Jurassic Park...we're ripping off The Lost World.
