No, but I'm saying for a gaming audience, an extremely polished multiplayer FPS has broader appeal than a (extremely polished as well) Beatles music game. MW2 will sell just as well as MW, if not (much) better, Beatles Rock Band will sell less than Rock Band 2 or GHWT.

Wow that's absolutely retarded. There isn't one instance I can think of in my entire 22 years of living that I could have used night vision goggles. It's especially moot when I can turn on my phone's light.

That said, it'd be pretty badass if I had 4 of them and played some 2 v 2 paintball.

Man, your youth really shows there.

Night vision is good for peeping in total darkness when stealth is a concern.

Actually, it hurts to say this, but I kind of want the "Prestige" Edition. Those NVG's will come in handy for me.

Considering they're making more expensive editions so they can make more profit from the hardcore fans I doubt the NVGs are even close to the price difference between the regular and prestige edition and you might be better off getting them from somewhere else.

Actually WII sports doesn't count because it was a bundled game--so you looking at maybe mario kart WII (though that did come with a crappy $5 wheel) which sold 17 millionish.   Modern Warfare hit somewhere's in the 15millionish so it's not to far fetch to see the sequel to do similar and if you look at pre-orders it's right on track.  Getting loads of pre-orders even though it's $10 higher--but yeah I'm not ordering it--I'm a CAG member and proud of it.  The good news I hope is Modern Warfare price drop--it's nearly 3 years old and it's still marked nearly fully retailed price.

It's to bad you won't be using the nightvision glasses for actual gameplay.

Even if MKWii did 17 million, Wii Fit and NSMB did over twenty each.

I'm just saying Beatles Rock Band caters to a very, very specific audience, MW2 has much broader appeal.

Wait, you're saying realistic war has a broader appeal than the Beatles?

War is over if you want it.

Modern Warfare is full price because they stopped making standard editions and only print "Game of the Year" editions with new map packs and all the firmware updates. Frankly, I don't want the map packs. CoD4 was one of the games I sold with my PS3, and I'll miss it, but I figure I can pick up a used copy 4 cheep, and Modern Warfare 2 will probably make me forget about the first game come November.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

WII FIt again is bundled software with hardware not stand alone--almost 4 million of those sales came from it being bundled with the WII hardware--since you don't live stateside you missed alot of stores like gamestop fooking the customers.  Last x-mas the WII's had a shortage again and alot of these retailers "made" you buy the bundle.

And what game is NSMB?  New Super Mario Bro?  That's not released yet?

So like I said as per game sold, MK WII is still the top seller even though it did bundled with the cheap wheel.  After that I think Smash Brothers comes next at 10 millionish sold.

Wii Fit does not count as bundled software, the only thing that counts as that this generation is the original Wii Sports.

"Wii Fit does not count as bundled software,"

Like I stated, retailers bundled the game to the hardware--point 2 it's still hardware it's a balance board.  You couldn't buy just the board in case you wanted to play that snow boarding game or skate boarding.

Sports Resort though was released in Japan as a seperate game but again stateside it's bundled with one motion control plus.

As far as I know WSR is bundled with M+ everywhere since you can't play the game without it.

I live stateside, and at the time of WiiFit release, it was bundled with the balance board, because not only was it the only game to use it, but you can't play the game without it. If gamestop had a deal set up where you get a Wii + WiiFit bundle, then it was for people that didn't already have a Wii, as you can't play WiiFit without a Wii. I hardly think GS is gonna force someone that only wanted WiiFit (that comes with a balance board) to purchase a Wii at the same time. That makes no sense.

And by the way, WiiSports isn't a bundled game, it's a pack-in game. It comes free with the system.

It was released years ago, I'm talking about the DS version which is also competing for the "best selling game ever" title.

Like I stated, retailers bundled the game to the hardware

Retailers bundle all kinds of things, why should the sales not count then? I'm pretty damn sure you'll see Modern Warfare 2 console bundles too.

But like I said the retailers bundled the WII with WII FIT.  Namely you couldn't buy just the WII and during the shortages alot of people didn't have much choice either buy the bundle of go without.  Alot of retailers racked up alot of cash with those so-called bundled deals too.  Namely $250 for the WII and it was $90 for WII FIT but the retailers had it bundled at $400 with two other crappy titles and some other crap that nobody used.  I think GS bundled with $500 and that came with WII play and extra nunchunck ($50 for play and 20 for the nunchunk= $70)--it as nothing short of ABUSE and I kinda felt bad for people who waited that late into the holiday season.

The difference with the others is called limited editions and usually you can still buy the standalone vrs without the bundled game.  Like with NSMB on the DS you at least had a choice--you could have gotten Nintendo Dogs, or one of those other titles.

Sports Resort is similar--yeah it comes with Motion Plus (stateside anyhow) but there are other choices too--EA Active life and even the upcoming Red Steel will have bundles as well.

But that still doesn't disqualify Wii Fit from its position as a high selling game. The sales from that kind of retailer abuse are probably not major (especially since many people would have bought the game separqately anyway) so disqualifying it for that is nonsense, almost like an attempt to disqualify all competition until MW2 wins by default. Best Selling Game Ever means just that, no limits like "for a third party" or "was never forced on customers".
