I was watching in horror.  It happens in Mario Kart sometimes, where you try to fight the slow pull of gravity with all your might.

Yeah, you lost an infantry guy that way too. It took a long time for you to come back it felt, were you fighting it?

LULZ I WAS SWIMMING

I eventually switched to a different guy, allowing the swimmer to automatically find his way back to my group.

The friendly AI in this series is darn smart and people don't give this game credit for it.

I don't think a lot of people gave this game much credit. But it is a top notch production. The only things that could have made it better would have been WiiSpeak support (which wasn't possible at the time) and more multilayer levels.

Local multiplayer. That's what this game needed.

LAN, maybe. But I don't think this type of game would have been condusive to spit screen play. Too much you need to keep track of.

It would work fine, especially co-op.
Let the players decide if they want to use it.

I don't think so at all.  I need all the viewing space I can get.  I play at medium zoom most of the time.  The addition of same-room communication doesn't make up for hurting one's play by splitting/shrinking the view.  The HUD already takes up an uncomfortable amount of real estate in full or widescreen.

So does anyone want to play some more this next week? I'm going to try and get through more of the campaign since I only played about 3 missions before diving into the online with y'all, but I'd love to try ang get a few more S ranks or face off.

Here's a few clips from the Wi-Fi nights:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoG8mfDPenw

Up until 2:46 is with Flames_of_Chaos and everything after that is with Stratos.

So does anyone want to play some more this next week?
Probably not. I don't really like to play the vs. modes and I'm sure everyone would rather play co-op with somebody who knows what they're doing.

You don't mind playing co-op with somebody who doesn't know what they're doing? You did see the video I posted right?

Though maybe if I play the co-op missions enough then I'd learn from experience and be able to figure out how to get an S-rank. Switching armies every time you restart a mission can be disorienting though...

I was just as clueless as you. I think I got those S ranks with Pro because he carried us to victory. Plus I am learning. Remember I only got the game a day or two before the event started.

We can learn together.

I agree they are disorienting when you switch. I noticed that when we failed missions it always took us three times to win. Possibly because we don't know what we are doing on the first mission at all, on the second we see what we needed to destroy the first time because we are being killed by it this time since we switched so on our third try we knew what to focus on to keep our partner alive.

I might have something going on early Tuesday night that could keep me away until about 10PM Pacific Time, but Wednesday is all clear for me.

I won't be on until this evening. I have a couple important things I have to do before I can sit down for some BWii action. I'll probably skip Conduit entirely today.

Woot! Two more S ranks!

Though that first try with the battlestation was kind of sad. I didn't realize I was dieing until it was too late.

I won an assault too! Though that one when I was the attacker was hard. I felt like I didn't have enough time.

Good gaming. :)

I like the assault.

Different game but I enjoyed the assault missions in Timesplitters 2 as well.
