That's true and untrue at the same time. Sure AA takes a pretty decent hit out of the GPU, but good optimized code will make up for that difference. Again, I point to Star Fox Adventures, or anything made by Factor 5.

But the same optimized code could be doing something else with that power instead. Like, say, run a game that doesn't suck :P.
