    • In Homerun if the Sandbag is to the front of the platform you can no longer see the bat
Which makes it uber hard to get at the last second and make the swing.
    [/list]

Huh? Where the Sandbag is would only affect whether you can see the bat if the bat would right under it; if you do the multi-throwing trick that's demonstrated in the sample Replay video, it should never end up like that, and if it did you could just restart.

I will vouch for this.  Too many times one of us accidentally ran off the platform because the bat (and the edge of the platform) was outside of the screen.

Along the same lines, never has the lack of communication abilities bothered me more than trying to coordinate with Ceric in the home run contest.  It sucks that I can't even tell Ceric to get on the other side of the bag to even out the movement as we smack it.  OH DEAR  And good luck trying to coordinate characters!  You try conveying that you want the other player to select a certain character without words.  I considered changing my taunt to PICK NESS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, but I would have to drop out of the game in order for that to work.  :D
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Second that.  In brawls it isn't that bad but not even a rudimentary chat in the character picking screen makes it frustrating in Homerun.  I was like I know that he wants me to do something but I'm not sure what.

Found another nitpick. Didn't realize it before, but the game seems to feature a sympathy Final Smash. If you are really destroying your opponent, they spawn with a final smash ready and loaded to go. Why is this not an option I can disable, like the Smash Ball itself?

I thought if items are turned off, they won't spawn with final smashes anymore...

    Is this not the case?

Well it won't spawn Smash Balls. However in this case, the player spawns lit up as if they have hit the Smash Ball already. This will happen regardless of whether or not the Smash Ball is enabled in the item switch.

Here is a link from the dojo that talks about them briefly at the bottom of the page, I guess they are called Pity Final Smashes.

It says you will be set if you turn off the Smash Ball, but I could've sworn this occurs when the ball is off anyway. I will make sure tonight though. It is still kind of annoying anyway.

It's very possible I was mistaken, plus Sakurai says that it shouldn't happen if Smash Balls are off so I'm not sure, maybe I had them on and didn't realize it. S_B is only assuming what Sakurai said is true, so I guess I would only be embarrassing myself :P . I didn't have a chance to check last night, so I guess we will wait till tonight to see if I have egg on my face.

Interesting about the pity smashes.  I've noticed it a few times but thought I just didn't see the smash ball er something...

In the grand scheme of things, final smashes usually aren't nearly as unbalanced as say, a blue turtle shell in mario kart, so I don't mind.

The incredibly vicious ones kill everyone equally usually, and if they don't, they are at least dodgable.  Therefore you won't usually have the issue of a last place scrub screwing up a heated battle between first and second place.

The only unstoppable monster of a final I've seen is Sonic's: it's hard to dodge, LIGHTNING fast and lasts far too long for how powerful it is.

Pit's stage is broken.  What a terrible disaster.

The exact opposite is true! It's a simple stage that doesn't just copy the Battlefield design and doesn't feature any extremely disruptive elements (fire, one-hit KO creatures), plus it's beautiful and has great (if sparse) music. What's wrong with it?

My only major nit-pick would be that some of the items are too small. I don't know whether I'm picking up a Franklin badge, Dekue Nut, Screw Attack, Smart Bomb or Motion-Sensor Bomb.

Also I have another gripe with the Screw Attack, how come it can't be thrown anymore? I'm also missing the Rocket Barrel thing that was in Melee.

I actually agree with all of those (I'd forgotten about the Rocket Barrel, that was pretty fun) except the Smart Bomb is way bigger than the other one's you're talking about. The Screw Attack's redesign was unneccessary, tho.

The screw attack redesign makes no sense.  It isn't puny like that in Metroid.  I think they only changed it so they could use the badge concept they created for the Franklin badge for more than just a single item.

Though I must say, I'm almost glad you can't throw it in Brawl, as it didn't make much sense as an attack in Melee. Why would it hurt your opponent if they get hit by the item if it doesn't hurt you to perform the attack while holding it? *mind explodes*

Forcing your opponent to do a screw attack wasn't what hurt them.  It was the impact of the item smacking into them, like any other thrown item.  Brain explosion solved.
