I would just like to state how epic it is that the Killer7 discussion has taken a hold (if just for a short time) of three threads.

Taking into account your perspective, you can say the same thing about Wind Waker, Okami, and any other cel-shaded game.
I would rather you not play Killer7 since that is your point, the game deserves to be played, but only a few deserve to play it.

My message is for everyone, not just Mashiro.

That's not true for all Cell shading games. Especially not wind waker.

Just because it uses a Cell Shading technique doesn't mean it's on the same level as wind waker.

Cell-shading is just a technique, it can be used different ways and applied differently. For example, Wind Waker's cell shading looks nothing like Jet Grind Radio's.

Personally, it all depends on the presentation.

The coloration doesn't move with the world it's coloring, creating a unique effect.  The point is the game has a very distinct look, especially when in motion, that I find appealing.

Also, Stickfigureman is correct that vertical shmups are better than horizontal shmups.

Mashiro, have you ever played Killer7?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

From now on, whenever someone mocks me or complains about the recommended for everyone I gave Kid Icarus... I'm going to respond with...

"Oh yeah?  Well Mashiro doesn't like Killer 7"

Then a thread explosion will occur and everyone will stop being a whiney baby about how hard Kid Icarus is and bash on him instead.

I was actually going to offer to loan it to Mashiro, assuming he never played it and wants to really try it.  Since you both live in NY I assume you must know each other /sarcasm; you're welcome to it if you promise to give it to Mashiro when you're done.

Lol that bit between Pale and EasyCure just made my day =)

I'm fairly certain the government will use this ploy as well when trying to distract the American people:

"Mr President what do you have to say about the mounting criticism about *insert topic here*?"

"Well . . . Mashiro doesn't like Killer7 . . ."

"ZOMG FRONT PAGE NEWS!"

actually i meant to say i refuse to buy anything online. for one, i've been scammed on my first three attempts to every buy anything online, secondly its addictive as hell. if i starting using my credit card to purchase things online i know i'd go overboard and end up with a hylian sword and sheild, a toadstool seat, random wii gun accesories that wouldnt add anything to gameplay... overboard i tell you!!!

I wouldn't consider that a dump, the game seems awesome, if only Nintendo would bring it to NA.

Well, the decision was made in about 10 seconds... so it's still immensely dangerous

But you watched the commercials for this game, right? Who would not buy this game...well me, but that's because it is in Japanese which I clearly don't know, and you will have to shout in Japanese...ok, Kairon, you're right, it is a dangerous purchase.
