Sonic, Snake confirmed as hidden characters, Sheik transformation, Zelda’s final smash possibly revealed
Quote

The latest issue of CoroCoro has some new Smash Bros. Brawl info. Snake and Sonic have been confirmed as hidden characters, which means they won’t be available to choose from the start. The magazine also has a picture of what looks to be Zelda’s final smash, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet. Finally, one of Zelda’s moves is the ‘Twilight Change’ which will transform you into Sheik.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Hey, this thread's not working right.

For some reason, I am seeing that people are posting on the thread. Yet when I click to go to the last page it takes me to LuigiHann's last post.

Am I the only one seeing this?

Yeah that's happening to me Pap, to see about the last 5 posts I had to manually type in page 157.  Otherwise I would see the page you've been seeing

In all honesty, I sometimes can't tell whether you are being sarcastic or being serious.

Do you REALLY think the game's lacking, um, "soul"? And what do you mean by soul?

I wonder if the reticule can be controlled by either the joystick or via pointing and aiming with the Wiimote? It looks like an awesome final smash though.
I'll bet it has both options. If not, definitely the joystick because of the GameCube and Classic Controller options.

Why does Snake have a grenade launcher for his final smash, why not just make any of the metal gears randomly appear and nuke the sh!t out of the competition.

Hmmm...Update's late tonight.

That means...

IT MUST BE A SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME MEGATON UPDATE WHICH UNVEILS ALL OF THE CHARACTERS THAT WILL BE BRAWL, INCLUDING GOD HIMSELF, EVERY SINGLE ITEM, STAGE, SONG AND MODE WILL BE REVEALED!!

Oh and Capt. Falcon too :p .

That, or Sakurai wants to show us Snake's ass one more time.

EDIT: Never mind, there it is :p .

Well, that's one week of updates down. It brought us the first character reveal in months.

Will Sakurai step it up and unveil even more megatons next week, just in time for the Japanese release?

The one thing I don't like about him is that he really only has 2 attacks, but he seems like one of those characters that you'll just have to master.

I have 2 problems with the name "Twilight Change"

1. The word Change. I'm sick of this word.  Last Saturday I heard it 103 times in one discussion.

2.  The word Twilight. Sheik wasn't in Twilight Princess at all, why call it that?  That sounds like we're kissing-off TP dwellers.

It seems that Olimar may be the most technical character ever in a SSB.

Sorry to post one after the other but there is a question that has been going around other boards I visit that I thought all of you would like to consider: what happens when Kirby inhales Olimar?

I was really hoping an Olimar costume change was going to give you Louie, but I suppose not. In any case, cool update, I'm very curious to see how Olimar winds up playing out.

I guessing his normal and smash attacks will definately have to play a huge part, he really only has 1 attacking special attack. I am also hoping the Pikmin aren't too easy to destroy or are resonably quick to pluck from the ground. I also wonder if the bulb blooms on the Pikmin's head if they are strong/faster etc.

And Olimar becomes one of the most faithful translations for an oddball character.

I bet once the Pikmin latch on they will continue attacking and following them...people will have to waste time attacking the Pikmin back...and that is the beauty of the character.

I also have a feeling Olimar may be a heavy character in terms of smashing him, to help with his weak jumps and such.

We also know that for regular attacks he swings Pikmin at people.  I will be interesting to see if different colored Pikmin have different results in Smash attacks...and the amount of Strategy you can use when pulling and planning your Pikmin attacks.

This character is going to be really fun to use.

Kirby will be able to lead a Pikmin army, but won't be able to utilize it in the same way Olimar can (because Kirby only copies the standard B move, not the others...)
