I doubt they would cut him too, but the logo is definitely for F-Zero and not just the Capt.

Captain Falcon is still in the game, end of story.  The reason he hasn't been shown yet is because he contains so much awesomeness the site can't hold him.  Sakurai has tried several times but his computer crashes every time he hits the upload button.  But last I heard Nintendo has finally found a computer strong enough to do it and so Captain Falcon will appear any day now.

In fact, I'm pretty sure that this Monday will be the day.  Or maybe Tuesday, but ether way Falcon will be appearing soon, very soon.  You can count on that.

I hope not! I never particularly liked playing as Mr. Game & Watch, but he is a fairly interesting character. Unique and set apart from the others. His movelist is already established from Melee. I don't think it'd make much sense to omit him.

Heh, that's what you'd like to think....

Yay or nay on known characters is more suspenseful and thus makes perfect sense on why they would choose to withhold that info.

That logic makes sense with the likes of the clones, Shiek, Ganondorf and to an extend Luigi.

We all have heard that clones will get the tossed out of the brawl, but some would be completely overhauled and be unique characters. If I am not mistaken, I heard Falco might be a little bit different from Fox, the same way Luigi was a bit different from Mario in Melee.

An update on Ganondorf would be exciting since Brawl would be the first time his character was wholly represented, as in, he isn't a Capt. Falcon clone.

Sheik is also another exciting update because we don't if she's going to be part of Zelda's moveset or be an unique character apart from her.

However, we know for sure that Capt. Falcon is in the game as he is a Melee veteran and he's one of the more popular characters. So why would Sakurai keep HIM  a secret, ESPECIALLY since his appearance was confirmed through the website in a subtle way?

Take a look at the assist trophies page. Most of them feature the standard SSB logo as their icon. However, characters from games being presented in Brawl have their game's logo as their icon. Samurai Goroh has the Capt. Falcon logo as his personal icon. Since we haven't gotten an update on the F-Zero stage, song and item that only leaves Capt. Falcon.

So we know for sure Falcon's in the game. But once more, why has Sakurai delayed his appearance?

So again, that logic makes sense for the clones, Sheik, Ganondorf, Luigi, Marth and Jigglypuff. But for Capt. Falcon its just plain stupid, unless Falcon has gotten a HUGE overhaul and they are keeping him a secret because of that, which I doubt.

Heh, my logic makes sense for all previously known characters.  You can't fathom why Capt. Falcon hasn't been mentioned on the site yet....  is he really in the game?  He's got to be right?!? I mean it doesn't make sense otherwise.... blah, blah, blah....

Bah! He's got you hooked on that suspense and your post proves my point!

(Basically you have better basis for your thoughts and reasoning for the inclusion or exclusion of past characters, which is not the case for new characters)

I said this once befor a while ago, the way I see it, any character that was once a secret character will be a secret character again. And we wont know those until the game is released right? Just my thoughts.

Heh, you wish . An F-Zero character WILL be in the game, that's pretty much a given. I suspect Falcon will be the sole representative once more. However, S_B's theory makes sense. It looks as if Sakurai is being fair this time around and will likely include more than one character from each franchise (The Kirby series is now represented by 3 characters this time around), so maybe we will get another F-Zero character and for the sake of hype it makes sense to hype of the F-Zero newcomer than tout the return of Falcon.

But if Falcon is indeed a secret character in Brawl that would be one of the silliest decisions ever. Its like trying to keep the ending of "Passion of the Christ" a secret :p .

Well I see Bill back to change the title, and speaking of the title, yeah Kumatora has no chance of appearing now.  But what this does do is increase the chance of Claus being playable. Lucas strongest move is PK Love yet he's not using it. The only other character that can use that move is Claus, and since Claus is more important to Mother 3's storyline then Kumatora, it does make him the most likely now.

The other important thing is Claus would have a completely different moveset, unlike Kumatora were most of her moves are now being used by Lucas.  Since Claus fights with a sword, a beam gun, uses PK moves and even has metal wings to fly, he'd make a very unique character.  And there's the fact that Claus and Lucas were the most requested Mother 3 characters on the poll, that also helps him out.

FINALLY!

GC control setup allows you to turn the tap up to jump OFF.

Good to know...

Grabbing with the remote itself looks tricky - it's either (-) or A+B.. I thought it would be B+1 like SSBM where it was R+A. You can change that, though - right?

Hmm.. I'm not sure about the waggle smash - guess I'll have to try it out to see how well it works.

The default setup for the classic controller won't work too well either - you'd have to change A+B to B+Y.

You know, the remote+nunchuck combo looks most appealing to me (outside the GameCube one).

We finally get to see how the controls can be on all controllers.  And they look great.

Nunchuk+remote looks very solid.  I like the idea of having jump and shield on the nunchuk completely separate from attacks, but I am curious how that will work out.

I also like the idea of pressing A and B to grab.

However, I think I am still going to be most excited about using the classic controller, and being able to turn jump off of up means you can finally do charging up attacks and smashes easier.  Thank goodness.  I just wish you could turn the C-stick smashes off.

Are people forgetting these are the default controls??

Every option there is customizable... so you can turn off C-stick smashes.... make them taunts or nothing at all.

The only thing that cannot be changed it seems is what controls directional movement of your actual character.  (ie: you couldn't make it the right analog or d-pad of the classic controller)

Now if your complaining that you can force it off for other people, well tough  (and who knows that may still be an option in some other aspect of the game, although doubtful.  What's the quote though?  "We really did think of everything..." )

I am expecting something interesting each week, and the Donkey Kong music was huge and very cool.  Like characters the music updates are absolute.  You know that song will be in the game, and whether I like the arrangement or not.

The Donkey Kong remix is an amazing arrangement, and very beautiful and surreal.  I love every part of that song...and can't wait to hear it again.
