RE: Official Smash Bros. Dojo Update Discussion - Jammin' on the Halberd

I've been waiting for this song to finally be added.  Of course I wish it could have gone on longer because you can hear at the end it starts going into the music that plays in the stage before you fight Meta Knight which is one of my favorite Kirby tracks.  Of course I love that they combined both Halbard themes into one.

This is great since it'll leave more room in the My Music section for the Halbard stage to hopefully contain the Revenge of the Meta Knight Ending Theme.

You know, I think Sakurai had run out of things to talk about.  The updates are much less "HOLY CRAP!" lately.  Perhaps it's related to the delay.

Well, I think that we can all agree that he had some big guns saved up for just before launch.  He's probably still got a good few in reserve for that occasion. I pretty sure that we're just looking at filler updates.

Such an awesome and UNIQUE feature. Yeah they've had spectator modes before, but ones where you get rewarded for doing so, not to mention gambling!?!?!? Anyway I do spectator from time to time in other games just to watch people duke it out, so I'll be using this one often when I am not in the mood for a match myself.

Cool a Wi-Fi addition!  I also like how you can bet coins and get stickers.

Still...the complete anonymity of random online matches kinda bugs me.  At least in Mario Strikers you can see who you're playing against.  I wonder if it will be possible to "spectate" matches between people on your friend list. That would somewhat lessen the blow I guess.

Considering the play data is sent to Nintendo randomly, I doubt very much that will be an option...

This is an unexpected yet cool feature. I also think it would be cool to be able to watch friends. Just to torture everyone who hadn't thought of this, assuming there is no way to watch friedns: an NWR tournament where you could watch the other matches when you aren't fighting to see how it's going and who you would play next.

Wow, an update I for sure didn't see coming...

I was just thinking, they can't just randomly have a match displayed, in case it sucks. So, someone will probably have to review matches, find a good one, then post it, right? HOW COOL WOULD IT BE TO BE THAT PERSON, WHOSE JOB IT IS TO WATCH SSBB MATCHES ALL DAY LONG.

Hmm... maybe it wouldn't be cool forever, but for awhile, that job would rock

I came to this thread with a voyeurism joke but Bill stole my thunder.

I think I'll use this once in a while. Back on the 64 version, I'd randomly set up unfair matches between two computer players when I was bored... so this will be kind of like that.

There was a big rumor going around that tonight at Japan's Megaman 20th anniversary party that Megaman would be announced for Brawl but I am going to say that was a big no, unless they will wait until Mondays update to say so.

That's what I heard as well. If Megaman is indeed in Brawl that would've been the perfect time to make the announcement but I doubt it as well.

Well it's just a party today, but Megaman's actual 20th anniversary is on December 17th, which is a Monday.  If Megaman is going to be shown my money is on Sakurai showing him on that day instead.  Since December 17th is almost a month before Brawls Japan release date, it makes more sense that they'd wait until then because I'd imagine that final month will be full of huge updates.  And what better way then to begin with the revealing of another 3rd party character.
