Honestly, I'd hope for a new Wii-exclusive IP, but it makes the most sense that it would be a MGS game because Snake in Brawl is an excellent advertisement for MGS, except that the only MGS game playable on Wii is a GC one.

I think they should do a TS Wiimake, ala RE4 and then port MGS4 to the Wii. Watch the hilarity ensue as it outsells the PS360 versions.

It'd be more hilarious if they did nothing for Wii and the PS3/360 versions still tanked and the whole company goes under thanks to next-gen dev costs -- while losing to Wii-specific Splinter Cell game.

Not that I care for Sam Fishtaco, but it'd be a good one-two punch on Konami.

True, that would be even funnier, but nothing would whip the internet into a frenzy more than one of the PS3's alleged great saving graces selling more on the Wii.

Just some ideas of how Metal Gear could work on Wii.

- Aiming (obviously).
- The Nikita missile could be controlled by tilting the controller
- Throw grenades by swinging the Wii remote
- Swing nunchuck and Wii remote to punch/kick/pistol whip

Controls
A - Use Weapon (Hold A, press B to fire)
B - Action
C - Crouch
Z - 1st person mode
D-pad
- Left - Items menu
- Right - Weapons menu
- Down - Equip last weapon
- Up - Equip last item

(+) - codec/radio
(-) - map

The Wii remote would allow you to move while aiming in third and first person. It's a little different than what's normally seen in Metal Gear, but it could work. The Wii remote could add so much to the series. I hope they make the game.

that control setup not only make sense but sounds very comfortable.
much better over TS` controls on the gamecube pad.. and people thought having fewer buttons would hurt the wiis interface.

Maybe this is off topic, but I read that MGS4 wouldn't even be possible on Xbox 360 because Kojima said it would take all 50GBs of a bluray disk. Is there any truth to this?

Even if he said it, it isn't true.  Multiple disks could be printed.  However, releasing a 50 GB game on the PS3 and only the PS3, would almost certainly result in net losses.  There just isn't a big enough userbase to negate the cost of making a game that size.

That would be a dream come true if that happened. Well, I guess they should first sell their franchises -- the good franchises -- to Nintendo first. All I want are more castlevania and contra games, anything else from Konami's not worth it anymore.

What about DDR?!

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Wasn't DDR for GC on shelves for about a week?

I remember talking to a worker in Gamestop and  I remember him saying there was sometype of licensing problem and the production run of DDR mats was quite small.

I could be wrong though.
