decoyman, you've got a Mr.Spock? I want it, I hope it soon reaches my parade.

Who's Treat Williams?

nitsu niflheim, I created a Mr. and Mrs. Hopper so that they would proliferate like their cousins do and devistate whole crops of miis.

None of the above.

I hope someone gets my Bob Ross soon.  His game may be cancelled but he's still on the Wii.

Treat Williams came in 2nd place in the "Real-life Super Hero Contest," (Chuck Norris took home the award). He is perhaps lesser known, but almost as powerful.

Their powers, however, are vastly different. While Chuck Norris roundhouse kicks people and punches through mountains, Treat Williams focuses on his extreme and almost oxymoronic mixture of sensitivity and ruggedness. Treat is a woodsy, outdoors type, yet he truly understand the heart of man. He has been the star of countless tv movies, and has also appeared in the television drama series, Everwood. Using his extreme compassion, he is able to overcome obstacles of any kind, whether they be the death of a loved one, or a bratty daughter who talks back to much. And he does it all while making the people around him happy and fulfilled. I'm sure, if he were put to the test, he could beat Chuck Norris in a fight. HOWEVER, he wouldn't win by matching Chuck roundhouse kick for roundhouse kick (that would be impossible, as we all know) – he would best him simply by understanding Chuck's plight and talking through their issues. He would win by becoming Chuck's friend and confidant. How can you fight your friend/confidant? You can't. So Treat would win.

THAT, Caliban, is who Treat Williams is.

Bill awesome job on Wind Waker Link, AND Goomba.  Also people interested...Bill's picture has Midget Satan in the right corner.  He is probably tempting WW Link into spying on WW Zelda in the Pirate Ship Shower.

That's really weird.  I have over 150 Miis in my parade and I don't have anyone not listed in the Wii friend code thread.

You're a very difficult person to create a Mii based on.  There is no way we can capture your awesomeness.

Spade-I made a freaky mii by shrinking the eyes and eyebrows down so that the only thing on the face is the shape of a spade.

I also looked it up in the dictionary internetand it said that word is also an offensive name for a Black person.

Maybe I should add more people... I just only really added the people who I regular read and generally care about.  I should add some more...  That being said anyone here from Easycure lately.  I want to add him but he hasn't been around.  The two retail jobs must be getting to him.

Arachness isn't my best creation.  I was trying to come up with a look moving the eyebrows completely vertical and parallel to the eyes.  What I came up with is interesting, but relies on some of my old tricks I have used before.

I do like the hairstyle that is supposed to be the everyday Grandma, but then not.  The wrinkles work to express age, and also work to represent more of the insect like deformities.

You may be asking why the theme with insects with my creations?  I dunno...they are creepy.

Wait, so is that the origin of the phrase, "call a spade a spade?"

I think I may have written or heard this on NWR, but I heard somewhere that the term "picnic" actually came from spending a leisurely afternoon ... lynching people (possibly African slaves in particular, but I might be mentally embellishing there).

I have pictures of a couple of Miis, but I have yet to copy them to my computer.
That's my opinion, not yours.

What what WHAT?!?

My grandmother used the word 'Internet" to describe the doohickey that connects to other computers in the world! It isn't a racist term!

That's it, I am going to take it back!

Call a Spade a Spade

Call a Spade a Spade 2

It might be thought that this derives from the derogatory slang use of the term spade meaning Negro, as exemplified in 'as black as the ace of spades'. That view of it as derogatory might also be thought to be supported by this piece from John Trapp's Mellificium theologicum, or the marrow of many good authors, 1647:

"Gods people shall not spare to call a spade a spade, a niggard a niggard."

The phrase is much older than that though. Nicolas Udall, in his Apophthegmes, that is to saie, prompte saiynges. First gathered by Erasmus - translated 1542, has:

"Philippus aunswered, that the Macedonians wer feloes of no fyne witte in their termes but altogether grosse, clubbyshe, and rusticall, as they whiche had not the witte to calle a spade by any other name then a spade."

This refers back to Plutarch's Apophthegmata, 178 BC.

nabarroThe eccentric right-wing British Tory politician Sir Gerald Nabarro was fond of emphasizing his direct 'man of the people' image by saying 'I call a spade a shovel'. In fact, despite being from an immigrant family himself, Nabarro loudly supported the repatriation of Caribbean immigrants to the UK. How he referred in private to the people who would have undoubtedly have been called 'spades' in Nabarro's social circle isn't recorded.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think a simple internet search proves that it is not racial.  I think people are too sensitive trying to find things to be offended about and it is not good for race relations or society.

Right now too many people are making issues over nothing at all.
