Now I have debts beyond my comprehension, but it sure feels good to play with that damn remote at last!

wiisports is the lamest thing I've had to witness, I can't wait to buy a real game! hopefully tomorrow

haha well it gave me something to do until I buy a game, but honestly I had more fun with the weather and news channel making spin the globe and all, or the Metroid preview channel, or even making the mii.

According to Gameasutra, Metroid Prime 3 was the highest selling game in North America last week.  To bad they don't have numbers for how well it sold, I'm interested in seeing just how many copies it was able to sell in just a week.  I guess well have to wait until August NPD data comes out in September since Prime 3's first week will be counted in that.

I forgot to mention, in my search for the console I got definitive proof the thing is succesful (like if it needed one), I couldn't find a single original game or unmodified console in the same places I used to get my GC games, all original in those days, basically its the ps2 all over again. And it has a kind of normal price compared to what I had to pay for an original console, my fear of a damaged console is too big to risk getting a modded one though, and my wallet had to suffer because of it.

As for MP3, I waited till the weekend to buy it, and had a heck of a time finding it in stock anywhere. Target? Nope. Best Buy? Nope. I was relieved to finally find one at Circuit City.  

edit: Mantidor – Wii Sports' fun is in multiplayer, and especially seeing the looks on peoples' faces when they swing a racket for the first time, or get a strike in bowling. Good times

It doesn't have to be a game OR a controller. You can get BOTH if you buy Wii Play. You get a game and an extra controller!

It was INSANELY hard to get controllers at launch (and three weeks after . . . and even after that lol) in my area. I tried to though . . . I ended up with one on launch day. The person in front of me got the last two wiimotes.

Looking back I wish I just waited on the fourth remote to get it with Wiiplay . . . since I rarely ever need to use all 4.

Yeah, that DOES seem the smarter thing to do. But... *shrug* I guess I did get lucky at launch at the Target and Toys R Us I checked. I even grabbed... *gasp* 4 nunchucks!

Still, I'm sorta shocked that so many people are buying Wii Sports. Maybe I'm too much of a stuck-up hardcore gamer to appreciate it?

Well I know I won't get Wii Play just because I have 4 controllers, I don't want a random 5th controller . . . (and it's not worth spending $40 on Wii Play IMHO if you already have 4 wiimotes).

Oh I didn't know about wiiplay, with the prices I got here, it might not be a bad idea to get the game, nunchuck+remote costs almost $100, and is the same with games I should've just got the modded console really... I haven't seen this game though, but I do want another controller, and I was already planning on getting one, so for me this would be like some extra free mini-games that come with the controller rather than the opposite.
