Hey, how do you select an author icon?

For some reason it is always blank when I try to use it.   :/

Check out your profile (one of the grey buttons at the top). There is a box there for an 'external icon' - the picture that shows up above your name on each post.

You need somewhere to host the image too - I use photobucket.com but there are alternatives. Enter the URL for the hosted image in that box and BAM, you're in business.
Any problems, just PM me or one of the other 'nice guys' in this thread (Bill Aurion or Pro666 come to mind).

Someone should start up a PGC newbie guide, instead of repeating this question every now and again. Just a thought

How do you make your icon smaller.

I don't want to get banned?

The avatars here are allowed to be up to 100x100 pixels.
If you're not sure or can't find a good tool, grab Irfanview (free download here) and resize it using Image->Resize.

Hi.  I'm new here.

Don't mind Perm.  He's been acting weird lately.  (Too many paint chips.)  I remember when he used to be able to write in complete sentences without typos.

I miss those days.

Also I think the signiture rules over here are too constricting. My sig is really important and needs to be about 43 characters longer so I can finish my sentance.
