What else? Treasure hunting could be something worth including. That adds the idea of currency in the game to buy things for your virtual scuba diver. Let's not just limit that to snorkeling fashion. . . How about things to add to your boat? Yeah. Boats!

You could upgrade it or yes. . . perhaps even make your own luxury yacht to host your own scuba diving parties.

I dunno. Just thinking.

Personally I want research equipment, robots, subs, and Deep Sea Suits.

Actually, the photo-taking idea DOES make it comparable to Pilot Wings after all don't it?

The Everblue games on PS2 were awesome. Like an underwater take on birdman from Pilotwings 64.

.. Except you could get eaten and stuff. This is going to be great.

Needs more zombies in snorkles.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Thought I would be bump this with NEW information including a release date:

- Explore underwater at your own pace
- Explore with a friend via wifi
- Treasure-hunting mode
- Play with and study sea creatures
- Take pictures for a magazine
- Be a tour guide
- Explore ocean and find underwater sea ruins

Release date is August 21st, so I can't wait. This could be a really fun (and relazing) game, especially with the Wi-Fi co-op.

Also new pictures of the game are here. Those visuals look gorgeous in places.

I don't know... I wouldn't pay $50 for that "game." Could be a nice collector's item though and I'm slowly turning into one of those   videogame collector types. Save me from Ebay........

To each their own, I can see why it wouldn't be for everyone but personally I am ready for a (hopefully) good exploration game which is focused on exploration rather than fighting or trying to beat the game. Like Animal Crossing, this could be a fun getaway game even if it is for a few minutes each day.

Just think of it as Wii Diving. Don't you want to buy ten copies now?

Oh, and some of those screens have dolphins. Can we play as dolphins?!?!

And is co-op only a two-player affair? I guess so.

Someone needs to post a picture of Dr. Doom. I mean with graphics like that, oooo, Nintendo is so d000o0oomed.

The underwater visuals look amazing, though the above water pictures look average at best (Which doesnt' really matter considering the game takes place UNDERWATER).

This is proof that sucky visuals on Wii have more to do with laziness than anything else. I don't see how else to explain why games like BWii, Mario Strikers Charged, and Forever Blue which are made by relatively small developers are looking better than what most of the big boys have been able to do with Wii.

Yes.

Yes. (look at the screen with just the dolphin: it says, FRONT FLIP!)

And Yes.

I honestly am kinda disappointed. I thought this was First Person! I wanted to see the sea world through a wet suit....oh well....

You expected a Frist person view? I thought it was pretty clear from the pics and the early video it would be a 3rd person viewpoint (Maybe there is a first person camera choice though).

I love fun but....just swimming around an ocean doesn't appeal to me. Is there a goal to the game or is it truly just a vast space of "endless ocean".

I know I was probably wrong to expect it any other way, but it was just wish full thinking. Heres hoping to a camera choice !

Still, I wonder how it'll make use of the Wii.

You people make the Nintendo gamer in me cry. This is beautiful, and you swim with dolphins. It's innovation, it's blue ocean, it's a new experience, and it's online.
