Oh, Ian just reminded me of something. I went 162-0 in Ken Griffey Jr's Winning Run on SNES. Twice! I pitched several 27 strikeout perfect games with the White Sox (only two starting pitchers in the game are capable of this that I know of). I also hit something like 135 home runs in a season with Rebel Ruiz in that game too. Well, more than that; the game stopped counting there.

I enjoyed the heck out of that game.

All 180 original Lemmings levels.

Beating "Chakan: The Forever Man", the hardest game, ever, without using too many savestates (grin).

Cheating the system in World of Warcraft without being banned.

Leveling 3 dogs to level 45+ in Lineage (I still miss those dogs...).

700 hours of original SSB played.

All hyperfunk zones beaten in TJ&E 2.

Winning the Sonic 3 contest in Boston with a score of 136,000 in 5 minutes.

I beat Warrior Within yesterday (both endings) and didn't kill myself after the credits rolled and I had to listen to that unholy Godsmack song for the 300th time.  I consider that a pretty big accomplishment.

Hey, The Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within was the last computer game that I finished, just a short while ago too!  Sweet!

For some reason Kaileena looked way hotter in-game than in the ending cut-scene.  She looked kinda fat and had some weird thing on her head (hair?  some mark?) that I didn't see before.  The Dahaka was stupidly easy compared to her.

I was going to mention that I finished FF (I) - FF IX, more than most Final Fantasy "fans" that I know can actually claim.  Even three different versions of IV (North American II, translated Japanese "HardType", and Advance)!

Yeah, she did look kind of weird in the cut scene.  However, so did the Prince.  He had a kind of Orangutan thing going on.

The Dahaka was a cinch compared to the Empress.  The speed move (where everything slows down and the Prince moves super fast and the screen turns red (hold block and then tap the time key (L in the GCN version; not sure what it is on PC))) made that fight laughably easy.  The Empress battle was just annoyingly repetitive.

I hear Two Thrones is much better.  I look forward to playing it whenever one of my friends buys it used and loans it to me.

EDIT:  As long as we're talking about FFIV, I beat over 500 Princess Flans in a row without getting a Pink Tail.  Does that count as an accomplishment?

EDIT #2:  I just thought of two real gaming accomplishments.  First, I have won two games of Windows Hearts without taking a single point.  I have also won a game by putting all three computer controlled players over 100 points.

Second, I have played a perfect game of snake on a Nokia mobile phone (by perfect I mean I got to the point where my snake grew so large it was able to occupy every single space on the screen at once, thereby ending the game).

Two of my all-time favorite gaming achievements:

1) Beat Kung-Fu 40 times in a row without losing.

2) Played my Virtual Boy for a whole hour without having a stroke or siezure. Double vision only lasted about twenty minutes, too!

The first time I beat Rogue Leader's Endurance, I didn't get a gold, but I found a cheesy easy way to beat it if I ever unlocked Ace mode (the only reason I haven't is because I got the N-1 by passcode instead of by shooting womprats, which I couldn't figure out for some reason [there aren't enough of the buggers to shoot to reach the goal]).  Once things got hairy, I started leading the TIEs in wide circles.  As they attempted to line up behind me, they began crashing into each other.  I had only to watch as the red dots disappeared two at a time until there were only a few left to kill the old fashioned way.  Tedious?  Yes, but very amusing, too.

Similarly, my favorite thing to do in that game is to fly very close to asteroids so that pursuing TIEs crash into them.  There's no more satisfying crunch in the entire game than the sound of a TIE getting slapped out of existence by a big rock.

So yeah, accomplishments.  I don't really pay attention to that sort of thing.  I mean, even for the single game I was best at, Super Mario Kart, I don't recall any particular accomplishment.  I just remember being really accomplished at the game.  My best friend and I played it so much that red shells stopped being the most dangerous weapon because we were too good at avoiding them.  I remember racing them to corners, leading them by mere inches until I got an item to block them with, and even hopping over them (one time he managed to hop one and stop so that he was inside its turning radius, causing it to circle him forever; of course he doomed himself that way).  Our most deadly weapons became the green shells, which we could snipe someone with from across a level, even banking the shots.  Our matches tended to come down to racing through narrow passages filled with traps while trying to get shots off at each other.  I've never become so good at a single game since.  There have been others that I became very good at -- Action Quake comes to mind -- but I felt like I had SMK beaten on some higher level.  Of course, I always wonder if I was really that good or if a single game in a real tournament would have broken me.

wow i forgot about super mario kart. im with you man, i used to be able to hop over the shells and snipe people from across levels too and it was such a good feeling when you have a friend over who's never played against you before and come from behind with such skill. my copy of the game was stolen a long time ago though and when i finally found an old used copy, it only worked half the time so i never had a chance to relive that glory. sadly i don't think i'll try to on Wii's virtual console either; i cant play it extensively anymore, when my copy of the game does work my eyes water after five minutes and have to turn it off.

Well of Souls: Arienell Variation.  Leveling a level 0 Wasp up to the point that it hit my level and was capped.

Why is this an accomplishment?   No one's ever done it to my knowledge and this variation had a magic system in place where if you say put points in healing then death would slide down, etc.  It seems when they designed Mr. Wasp he wasn't suppose to get levelled like that because he ended up doing massive damage and casting the top Spells from every one of the Branches.  I love that Wasp.  Now if I could only transfer him to other games.

I only have one really great Video Game Accomplishment.

I beat the Super Nintendo Jurassic Park video game.

This game was a hybrid top down adventure and a first person shooter.  The game was alot of fun, but didn't get the praise that Sega's Jurassic Park got.

The biggest problem with the game though, was that there was no save feature or password feature at all.  And the game played much like a Zelda or Metroid type game.  Running from one end of the island to the other collecting keys, weapons, and such to complete the game.

One Summer day, I spent seven straight hours working on the game.  Carefully, going through the levels, avoiding the Raptors and T-Rex.  I had not yet memorized the levels, or even old enough to think about that strategy.  So much backtracking was done, but I finished the game, finally right before Dinner time.  My parents were upset with me taking their television time away from me...but I was just happy I completed it.

It is a fond memory of mine...but the ending sucked.  When you finish the game, you run to a helipad, and you see a mode seven effect of the island, zoom out as you fly away.  Then credits.

Nothing else.

I felt a little upset with the ending...but I don't know anyone else whom has beaten that game.

I'm pretty sure I beat that game.  I rememeber playing it for like three days straight (never turning off the system because, as Spak mentioned, there was no save feature).  However, my memory is a little fuzzy.  If I didn't beat it, I at least came close.

I guess not.

Well, I've beaten some pretty tough games.  Ninja Gaiden III, Battletoads and Castlevania III come to mind.  As far as special accomplishments, though, I once was attempting to beat Donkey Kong Country in under an hour without losing lives, because you know, Cranky Kong says he can, and twice I came sooo close.  Once I finished it in one hour and two minutes, and once I was at 56 minutes before the battle with K.Rool and then I died.  I think the record speed run is something like 54 minutes, so that was pretty darn good.  I gave up after that, because I was tired of trying and I got a girlfriend, and for some reason girlfriends aren't that impressed by that kind of thing.

Yeah, pretty much all I've gotten is all 151 Pokemon in Blue, everything but the extremely rare trophies in SSBM, and unliking the three of the same person in a team mode in Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I will say, beating Gex 64 was an absolute bitch, which is why i put down the game in 1999 and didn't pick it up again to finish it until a few weeks ago.

I have captured every pokemon during every generation. But during the second generation(gold and silver) I had one of every pokemon waiting in my boxes and not a single game shark code used. Not just the evolved forms, but because of breeding I had each and every one individualy. Wait.. I did that in red and blue also. Pokemon stadium kept track of that. Currently trying to do it now, befor diamond and pearl but most likely it wont happen.

I also try to keep one of every Pokémon, including all evolutionary phases and I even have all 28 Unown!

Because I play one game and my brother plays the other each generation, and because there's always enough different handhelds (GB Pocket and GBC, then GBA and GBA SP, and DS and DS Lite (thank goodness)) we can do it without buying more than one of the same model.  I'm not sure I would be getting Diamond and Pearl if not for the DS Lite, honestly.

I am, however, still missing a couple of the Legendary Beasts (I hated their randomness and I never got around to truly playing Collosseum yet even though my brother has the game), as well as legit versions of Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, or Deoxys.    I think there's someone else I'm missing too, for whatever reason.  I'm sure Diamond/Pearl will make me want to catch them all again, but I hope there aren't too many I won't be able to get this time around.

Pokémon Box is really useful for sorting Pokémon.  It really should've been available in more places.  I got mine online and love it, though I wish FireRed and LeafGreen could've been played on it instead of just Ruby and Sapphire.  Not sure about Emerald...
