If all Yoshis are named Yoshi then why is one Yoshi not named Yoshi? In Super Mario RPG only two of the dinosaurs are explicitly named: Yoshi (who is clearly the green dude from Super Mario World) and Boshi. Everyone else is just unnamed like most NPCs. So the assumption would be that like people all Yoshi's have unique names.
Oh come on...You have evidence from one title...One not even developed by Nintendo! Complaining about that is just plain silly...
It fits with the 3D Zelda but it screws up the non-Capcom 2D games that came out before Ocarina of Time. It's really hard to fit the older games in that timeline because a Noah's Ark style flood is such a huge event and there's no real evidence of it in the older games that are supposed to take place after Ocarina (which is chronologically the first game).
Whoa, hold up...Why does it screw the 2D games up? Just because Ninty thought of an idea later on? Should Nintendo re-release the old games with this new information? (Which would end up with you complaining about ports) Can you use any imagination at all to come up with your own reasons for why the records don't exist? Such as disasters that wipe out traces of history? I mean, geez, Wind Waker takes place a thousand years after OoT! Legends and stories come and go in that kind of time, and complaining because Nintendo doesn't rehash story elements that they had in their original games so they "make sense" is just absolutely bogus...
