The G Word...
« on: December 30, 2005, 04:45:48 AM »
You cannot say g-and then-ay on the forum? Yet there is a topic with the word in the title...I think I understand the reasoning behind not letting people write it, but shouldn't the topic title be changed too?

I believe the filter that they have only works for the posts themselves, and not the titles..
"I used to sell furniture for a living. The trouble was, it was my own."
---------------------------------------------
"If your parents never had children, chances are you won't either."
----------------------------
"If it weren't for electricity we'd all be watching television by the candlelig

They can moderate, no?

My only complaint with PGC's forums are that they use filters instead of good moderation.

The filters are there to reduce the burden on moderators and stop problems before they occur. Look at the number of filters Slashdot implements to reduce the number of bad posts.

Try running your own forums and say that. Although I could do without the kidd'y, mega'ton and other joke filters, even if they can be turned off by disabling emoticons.

EDIT:  Sorry, posted by mistake.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I've seen many people who do. It's edited now
