I think the most likely scenario is no special upgrade to the DVD drive at all. The storage space would be a 80-90% waste unless there was something especially demanding about the games that we're still unaware of. They won't even use HD-grade textures. BUT if for some reason storage capacity ran dry, I guess this would be the closest idea to a solution.
