IT'S NOT THE NINTENDO ON!

Even if there IS something today, which there ISN'T, it most definitely is not THAT PIECE OF CRAP. It would be the worst system ever and I would be buying a PS3 if it was real. WHICH IT ISN'T. The cost would be astronomical and it does NOT make games more appealing for non-gamers!

I've been reading through this thread and so far the best evidence towards any it being true is that a lot of sites are reporting it.  You guys are analyzing videos frame-by-frame and adding numbers together and spotting anagrams and stuff.  One guy posted today's horoscope for Aries.  How could THAT prove anything?  It's not like Nintendo would be able to control what the horoscope is.

These "clues" are the most obscure and illogical things I've even seen.  You guys are only finding stuff because you're looking so hard for something, anything.  If you think about any of it for more than two seconds it makes no sense at all.

At least unlike that stupid Silicon Knights stuff we have a quick deadline for this stuff proving to be real.  By the end of the day if we see nothing we know it will be fake.

In 25 minutes sanity will be restored.

Really, if something was going to go down.  Nintendo would have told the Press...and IGN or some press somewhere would have made a vague hint to it, even if they couldn't because of NDAs spill the beans.

Why am I even still here.  I am going back to work.  25 minutes can't come soon enough.

The Nintendo ON is in Italics because IGN is laughing at us.  They know how Internet rumors go, and even though they debunked it they are laughing at us.

IGN themselves bought the Nintendoon.com so to promote their story of the debunked video.  It was smart business.

Now they are toying with us and laughing at us.

IGN has done this several times before, and I am sure they see that Nintendo On isn't dying and are helping promote it for a laugh.

What is great is IGN will never admit a thing, and obviously, we just imagined the whole thing.

Pfff.. =)

I think we should create our own hoax that originates on PGC....  Think of the hits we could get them.

This whole thing makes me wonder...is the 'hoax' making it to the show floor?  Is there a huge crowd gathering around Nintendo's booth as we speak?  Is Reggie completely confused?

I've already said once that there are too many things that don't add up...The May 19th date during the Nintendogs presentation, IGN's (and other sites') lack of criticism on the Ninty conference, Aries talking about the 19th long before this even came up...I don't believe in coincedence so there really is no other path for me to travel...

Either way, 25 minutes.

I find it funny that this conspiracy has a deadline. Generally false rumors stay the hell away from concrete dates and details where they can be proven false.

Italics might have been used for sarcasm, as in since we don't know what the games look like, at least we know what they will be played on.?????

The biggest part of this that makes me think it could be real is the fact that people on this site (like Rick) were dropping hints about how exciting this e3 was going to be, like they knew something.  So far all that has come to pass has been what I feel were obvious (albeit cool) announcments.... hrmm.

On the other hand, Rick did write that editorial... why would he do that if he knew bigger things were coming?

Read the last paragraph of the editorial.

"Somehow, even when giving fans exactly what they wanted, Nintendo was a step behind. Sony’s announcement of the PS3 obviously set Nintendo on their heels, a position in which Nintendo has been far too comfortable as of late. Admitting that it was holding back, Nintendo omitted key details in terms of specifications and availability; even the much-speculated-upon controller was a no-show. There were signs of life, however. Reggie was aggressive and brash, and even Iwata-san was bold when asking “Who’s your daddy?” and bragging about how he could beat Reggie at Smash Bros. As a whole, Nintendo would do well to learn this lesson quickly, take a more aggressive stance, and show its fans that they’re willing to fight. And when they do, they have to leave it all in the ring."

If there were a conspiracy, Rick would probably have been in on it for a while now.
