Does Wind Waker have pre-rendered videos (FMVs)?

Does Zelda: The Wind Waker have pre-rendered videos like Square's Final Fantasy series?  Or does it stick to console-generated cutscenes like Zelda: Ocarina?

There is some FMV, but most of it is rendered in-engine.

Rick: Wouldn't that just be real-time cutscenes? I thought FMV referred specifically to the pre-rendered CG stuff, like in FF games.

But all the cut-scenes are done with the game engine?

Yes.  Console-generated cutscenes are what Zelda: Ocarina of Time used.  (And all other N64 games except RE2.)
Pre-rendered videos are what disc-based games like Final Fantasy use.

Based upon Rick's comments, it sounds like Wind Waker is all console-generated cutscenes with perhaps 10-15 minutes of pre-rendered videos.  Kingdom Hearts was similar.  Very few pre-rendered videos were used in KH.  The story was told through console-generated cutscenes.

So the cut-scenes are not rendered in game but are using the console's own power? So that would mean a real-time cut-scene IS rendered in game. Is that why sometimes cut-scenes will show some modifications you made to a character (like Link's tunic or Sora's Keyblade) while others will show a generic version? And what I meant by CG is computer generate, not console generated, meaning insanely detailed cut-scenes Final Fantasy games often employ for major scenes (so not under the console's own power but rendered by a computer and stuck in the game).

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker may employ some prerendered FMV cut scenes, but I doubt it very much.  Real time cut scenes are much more Nintendo's style.  Orcarina of Time and Majora's Mask had all real time in-engine cut scenes.

Nintendo expressed a GREAT intrest in doing everything in game engine, and not relying on pre rendered cutscenes when they showed those tech demos.

That's because N64 had carts, and there wasn't any storage space for pre-rendered CGI videos.  Nintendo didn't have a choice!  But now Nintendo has a disc-based console, and they have the option to store pre-rendered CGI videos and play them back during the game (like Final Fantasy, Resident Evil).

Anyway, Rick Powers says there is some pre-rendered CGI movies, so that answers my question.
