The way the NPD ranks titles is moronic.  DS games in most cases are $20 less than PSP games, which means they would have to sell way more just to even get ranked.

Perhaps that's what Sony is hoping for? And MS with their 60$ games for the X360?

"This brings the install base of 128-bit consoles to
approximately 51.4 million in the U.S."

128-BIT, BABY!!@#$%! POWER UP

Yeah that's NPD in its infinite wisdom.

Wow. Top 3 titles are from Nintendo?!

I honestly don't believe it. This is crazy. Why are things so diferent in North America? (of course I know the anwer to that question, or at least part of the answer, but come on, how is Microsoft beating Nintendo on North America?)

Those are for handheld sales - the DS is doing so well in Japan beacuse many of the top titles have come out already, but they haven't in North America. Even with all of the PSPs advertising and North American-oriented games, I expect the DS to thrash the PSP when all of the killer apps come out soon.

Family Flop Wars. Hopefully it does well overseas. Actually it's been doing well in the daily charts for the past few days so it'll be in next weeks chart too, maybe it'll have long enough legs to be more of a success.

GO CHIBI ROBO! That Brain Training game is doing AWESOME, and WTF is that game at number one? People should be buying other games, not that. Another Brain Training game is out there today I believe, it shoudl be interesting to see how that does. Could we witness a Brain Training #1 #2? That would be a sight to behold!
